Hi Iris, if you want to know how to make you links `clickable`, have a read of the reply I gave to Neil a while back...

           Hope that helps!  smile

Yes, its about Sofobuvir, which might be available towards the end of the year. Interferon free treatment, oral meds ony, combo with another Gilead drug

(dont remember its name/number). My liver doctor recommends his GT 1 non-cirrhotic patients to wait.

Hi there King, yes Gilead Sciences are filing for regulatory approval for Sofosbuvir (previously called GS - 7977) this year.  Based on the results of their phase 3 clinical trials it looks like it will an all-oral treatment with ribavirin for genotypes 2 and 3, but for genotype 1`s they will need to add ribavirin and peg interferon to make it more effective until they can get approval for their new drug GS - 5885, an NS5A inhibitor.

If you have a browse through the Clinical Trials section you`ll see that we post regular updates on new drugs and also have some `sticky` threads for members who are on various clinical trials, including ones from Abbott who also have some promising looking new drugs in the pipeline

The future`s looking good for much easier and more effective treatment regimes!  ~ Jill

I also waited until my doctors told me a couldn't put off treatment any longer . I would leave it up to your Dr. I waited over 27 yrs. just because the first Hep. Dr. Told me the longer i wait the better the Rx.

Yes there are better Rx on the horizon. I wish I didn't have to take the Teleparvar. But I'm also non detectable. I'm going for my 24 wk. Next week.

Hi King

I'm hearing the same and I won't do Inf / riba again. i just finished my 3rd treatment since 2009  I felt compelled to get treated cause I have some symptoms that can be really uncomfortable and didn't really do enough research.  I don't seem to last UND with interferon and riba alone. I did a trial the was stopped by the FDA, being UND at the time tried to finish with Inf/ riba but didn't hold out. 3rd time 12 weeks Inciveck which did bring me UND but when just inf & riba it broke through again   My theory and its just what I think (I have nothing to back it up.) my virus or my body don't hold with just inf  So I'm waiting on the 2014 new drugs ( I hope )  I'll stick with the virus till it does come out. I hope you do well whatever. There are a lot of people clearing and some failure and it's a tough ride. Good luck

BillS

And yes thats the one  Dragonfly  or a combo with that 7977

Hello, King here. Thanks all of you for your welcomes. very much appreciated. I have a question. Ive read online about some new tx coming in 2014 and that the tx is only like 16 weeks or so, it doesn't make you sick and has like a 85% success. If this is true should I try and habg in there until 2014 and try this new tx. I'm only asking opinions, I know its going to be up to the Doc. I just want to have as much info as possible when I go and see Doc in a month. All opinions welcome.
