That's wonderful news Mena! It looks like he has made a remarkable turn around since your earliest post. It sounds like everything is finally working out for him. Ask him to drop in sometime, it would be wonderful to hear how he feels smile

i'm relieved to hear that your daughter was able to help you through the night. also your new blood work is superb,i just have a good feeling

about his progress. just keep along one day at a time.

i've almost straightened out the nausea, rash is almost gone and my dentist recommended magnesium for brain fog.

keep up the excellent job you're doing and stay hydrated during this heat wave.

Hello Mena and Angelo,

Mena you are doing a great job. It must be so hard on you. Angelo is lucky to have you. Once he is well, I think he will agree that it is time to pamper Mena. And Angelo, hang in there. It must be scary for your body to be so out of control. This isn't forever, it may feel like it is, but it isn't. Both of you hang in there!

Thank you for your replies. However, and I don't mean to be rude,  negative ones are not too appreciated.

Angelo has had his up and downs and the downs have been mostly about nausea.

He only had fever after the first injection, the other 2 nothing.

He had butt pain but after a week or so was gone.

So far no rash and praying for none.

His blood result after two weeks were great. His V/L went from 1,559,000 to 487

His Platelets went up 10 points

His Hemoglobing and hemocrit levels stayed in the normal range.

So why would we want to stop the tratment?

Based on what I read  his reaction to Compazine is really what is causing so much trouble. And this too shall pass!

So we will see tomorrow what the blood tests from today show!

Thank you for everyone's  concern about Angelo and me.

Mena

Sure hope they find something to help him out. Lots of people here have had severe side effects, only a few made it through the complete tx. I am not going to play Doctor but i sure hope he starts doing better. The ER might be a good idea. Good Luck !!

Meana I am severely allergic to Compazine and so is your husband. I fly into a rage or do exactly what he did so no more Compazine ignorant doctors they always act as if your the first time they have ever seen anything odd. Next time get him to the ER they are much better to evaluate since they are not considering their pride and prescribing meds before making sure they are safe.

Mena, I've followed you and Angelo's treatment from the beginning. The only time we heard from Angelo was the very first post. It seems that from day two, this treatment has caused increasing problems for both of you. Now with the side effects of the Compazine and everything else, Angelo is getting sicker and sicker. (Not to mention what is happening to you). I haven't seen anyone here have the problems that Angelo has had from the start! I hope you discuss the discontinuation of treatment. It seems very apparent that this form of treatment is causing far too much harm to him. I believe there are many new treatments on the horizon that will have less of the side effects that Angelo is truly suffering to get through. Please talk to the doctors about all of the problems he's having. I'm starting to wonder how much more either of you can take. Best of luck!

Last night was the worst night of my life!  At about 3:30 Angelo got up to go to the bathroom. He came back to bed, laid down and seemed go back to sleep.

After about 10 minutes, he got up and looked lost. Of Course I got up also and asked him what was the matter. He could not answer me, a word or two that came out of his mouth I could not understand. I thought that maybe he was sleep walking and I helped im back to bed.  Well, this process went on from 3;30 to 8 when he finally got up because I had to give him his pills.  He did not know my name or our daughter's name.

We had an appointment with the doctror at 10:30 but I called and said that at  9 we would be there.

If it wasn't for my daughter who was with me, I would have not been able to handle it alone. He was so rigid, Staring into nothing or holding his head down to his chest.

When the doctor saw him and I told him about how the Compazine might have caused an allergic reaction in his body, he said " yes, well maybe, but it could also be an infection"  HELLO, he had his blood work done on Tuesday, friday afternoon he took the first Compazine, during the night the nightmare started.  Most of  the severe side effects listed, my husband is experincing. He also said that the medication would take at most 12 hrs. to leave his body. Well, look at the treatment he is on and on eperson is not like the other. I wish these doctors would experince some of the side efeects of the medications they prescibe before dismissing how the patient's feels.

So to be sure he oredered another batch of blood test and we have a follow up appointmant with him tomorrow. He also told me to only give him half of the injection due tonight.

Usually when there is an infection there is fever and He has none. which I pointed out to the Dr. who said in reply " well you must think you are a doctor". I said, yes, pretty close!

I am litterally falling apart!

Mena
