Hi Randy,

I'd like to welcome you to the forum too! We have a great group of caring and understanding people among us and look forward to hearing from you as you progress through treatment. The Sovaldi/Ribavirin protocol you've started is a very good and highly effective treatment. Everyone here that is on that protocol has done very well and their side effects have been very manageable so far. I'm sure you'll do well. If you have any questions, as mentioned, please feel free to ask anything that comes to mind. I also want to point out out search function at the top center of each page. It's a good resource and full of great information! Good luck and remember to keep us informed!

Today I am ending my treatment of sovaldi and ribavirin. Glad you found this forum. Everyone has different side effects. Maybe you'll tolerate it well maybe not but this is a much easier tx than those of the past generations. I am glad to be almost done, just waiting till it's time to take the last ribavirin. I can't wait to get back to normal. I've always had high energy and this fatigue has been horrid for me. I hope to be SVR in December when I do my last labs. If you experience any side effects, post them here. You'll find love and support. I almost gave up with one week left because the side effects started getting really bad but people here convinced me to continue. The warriors here will help you through whatever happens. It is the support I received here that got me through it. My nurse was great but my doctor was not so kind or understanding. The people here saved my life when I was ready to give up. Best thing is keep a positive outlook and when you need to complain do it here where people understand. I thank everyone here for getting me through it all. I live on a small island and we only have one liver specialist here so I didn't have the choice to find a new doctor so it was here that I talked about how I was doing and what was really going on with me. Good luck with your tx and know that you aren't alone in this struggle fir a miracle. Lots of us out there. Hope you find yours.

Today I am starting sovaldi and ribavirin and I am also doing a chewable b12 and Garden of life blood vitamin. I am a geno type 1a and have had HEP C for over 25 years and many of those years I was a heavy drinker. I have read about side affects and will keep you all informed on my progress .....GOD IS MY ROCK
