Hi Ednaphopin,

Thanks for your input, but I notice that this is only your 2nd post and both times you have given a link to a website selling herbal and dietary supplements.

Can you tell us whether you actually have Hep C yourself or are you just here to advertise these products?

I`ve removed your link.

Jill

Hey Edna,

Those are some interesting tips, thanks! I have to mention one thing though, regarding #13. Don't use supplements of any kind while on treatment. They are not recommended because they can impact both the efficacy of treatment and the blood test values. Best to avoid them until your EOT +12 tests.

The following tips can help you.

1) Eat six small meals a day. Stoking your body with food every three to four hours can rev your metabolism to the max.

2) Run 10 100-yard sprints and burn up to 500 calories.

3) Wait 20 minutes before going for seconds.

4) Throw on a hoodie before working out. When your muscles are warm, you actually burn more calories.

5) Use a smaller dinner plateitll limit how much you can pile on.

6) Use a blue dinner plate. Studies show the color has an appetite- suppressing effect (as opposed to red and yellow plates).

7) Sub in nonfat Greek yogurt for mayo and sour creamyoull save 700 cals and 100 cals per half cup, respectively.

8) Eat peanuts from their shells. Youll nosh on 50% fewer nuts in a sitting just trying to peel before eating.

9) Chew on sugar-free mint gum after a meal. Mint flavors send signals to your brain that its time to stop eating.

10) Snack on pistachios instead of pretzels.

11) Take up power yoga. You can burn up to 344 calories a class.

12) Train fasted once a week. This helps the body to keep adrenaline high and blood sugar low.

13)Try some supplements such as .............or celastrol to help you while doing enough exercise.

I know my outcome is most likely excellent AND AM VERY CONFIDENT. THAT WILL HSPPEN. MY POINT WAS,UDING THE BEP PROTOCOL AS EXAPLE AND KNOWING GILEAD RAN TRIALS AND Was fastracked. Bep protocol is one of the modt studied. Protocols in medcine. Dr Einhorn would have won te nobel prize. And still would if he can say how,but the cant. In many many years he cant say why it works yet because. Of it Tc went from the worst redults in cancer treatment to baically 99% cure rate gog back to te registry Nixxon established Long way to say as more people get treated,it is more likely other things will pop up, but not able to eat and having low blood pressure should be an instant. Dr call,as should be losing abnormal. Weight or body mass right?

I am not worried.,but ats goes up when someone. Has extreme. Weight change from the norm. For instance My dad called me after. My cancer and said he had lost a little weight. I asked him how much and his answer. Was 68 lbs. I yold him to hang up and go immediately. Er, he did. Advanced colon and that call saved his life Like i have said before, llike i. Did with. The bep protocol. I can feel this. Med Not very long after i take it,clearly. Being that my responses. Was so quick and my weight change so drastic. As i have been 175 dince middle school. It is prudent to pay attention. And the only differences between the time is i got hep c,i was put on harvoni. I can tell people the dsy 4years ago i woke up from bed baically a exhausted. Wiped out version. Of me. I Know

susieq - I'm sorry I missed your message when you first posted it.

I don't think that a dramatic weight loss, nausea and blood pressure drop are typical side effects of Harvoni.  From reading the other members' posts, it doesn't seem that weight loss has been an issue with most.  A lot of us have good appetites and have gained some weight on Harvoni. I lost weight, but only about 10 lbs. over three months which I wanted to lose, and I chalk it up to eating better.  Also, my blood pressure hasn't changed much, and it's been on the high side.   Brian has a high metabolism and from his posts, it seems like maintaining weight has been an issue for him in general.

If you are still experiencing weight loss and lower blood pressure, please let your doctor know right away.  It might be from something other than Harvoni.  Thanks.

Take care and best of luck!

- Tess

Brian,

Sending you those 30 pounds tomorrow. I'll even pay shipping!

Seriously though, just make it through treatment anyway you can. Just do it by the numbers. No supplements or powders as Malcolm mentioned in the other thread. You'll be done before you know it and will have time to catch back up.
