The Jalapeno bread, aside from looking delicious, appears like it might have absorbed some of that Riba and stayed in the sun too long. You didn't fudge did you? Slipped the last week of that stuff into the flour container? Hmm?? wink

Jalapino Cheese Bread turned out ... pretty darn tasty, even if I do say so myself smile Probably be very good with some Lite Cream Cheese or a homemade chipotle dipping sauce.

Making some pear and apple fruit roll-ups today too ... yum.

Today it's Jalapino Cheese Bread (double batch ... makes 4 small loaves).

Should be very tasty but this one has to proof overnight so no bread till tomorrow.

HERE's the recipe. (I like this guys recipes because they are so easy and taste great).

I'll add a picture tomorrow ... If it doesn't get eaten first, I DO love Jalapino Cheese Bread.

Dave

p.s. One might ask, what does baking bread have to do with HCV ... well I think that any foods that are not store bought, processed foods are a plus for our compromised livers and systems ... I want to promote healthy living/ eating so that we all heal well and live well.

No breadsicks today, just regular ol' homemade bread, made with artisan flour, proofed then garnished with (rolled in) chopped oatmeal and baked to a golden brown. I'll be throwing it in the oven in about a half an hour.

May have to make some more of that Avocado/ Cottage Cheese & Tuna spread to have on the fresh baked bread.

Yesterday was fruit/ berry aroma therapy day, today is artisan bread aroma therapy day ... LOL

Be Well,

Dave

These have some melted butter mixed with virgin olive oil ... then a mix of 'Italian Herbs, Garlic Paste, Sea Salt and Parmesan' sprinkled on top before baking ... I had mine with Light Cream Chese and some tomato paste on the side.

I really enjoy breadsticks too! But mine have a big slice of pizza hooked on it. Sometimes they even come stuffed with cheese AND sprinkled with Italian herbs, spices and Parmesan cheese.... biggrin

If you add a big cup of marinara sauce and sea salt with those Dave, I could really do some damage to a tray of them! Woohoo!!!

Calling Dominos now! wink  Twitter pizza emoticon here I come!

This is not recommended for anyone on treatment, but I will save you a slice to celebrate SVR!

HERE's the best I can do Mike ...

French Toast Smoothie

I'd substitute a few things  ...  instead of xanthan gum I'd use Chia Seads, they thicken nicely

Whey powder ... I'd powder some oatmeal in the blender and use that instead, also thickens.

Just use vanilla extract ... instead of vanilla bean paste

... frozen banana instead of ice

... And they forgot the strawberry on top ... Duh!

Let me know how it tastes ... smile

 That's a tough one Mike ... LOL

Maybe add some toasted coconut to almond milk with Italian seasonings, sea salt and Parmesan ... or Maybe NOT ... LOL

Made my first batch of bread dough since early on in Tx ...

Feels good to have enough energy to bake again ... fun stuff.

Actually I'm making breadsticks topped with Parmesan to go with the beef stew that Jo made yesterday.

Should start to smell REAL good here very soon ... smile

I'm a bit of a carbaholic so I DO like my bread stuffs ... using Bob's Red Mill Artisan flour ... the best IMO

Yum!

Dave
