Thanks Tig! Ill go read your links now. Im especially intrigued by Paleo Diet for Liver Health. Ive been a low carber for many years and keto off and on for at least 2. Ive been able to stay at a healthy weight for the most part but sometimes fall off the wagon. Sugar is definitely my drug of choice so I have to completely abstain or I might just eat it all!!

Hey Hoodie,

I don’t have any experience with this diet, but my daughter is a big fan. She has lost all of her post pregnancy weight by following it. It’s a bit hard to believe, but a higher fat, lower carb regimen apparently tricks your body into burning excess body fat and storing more energy in the muscle. The body can use the correct fats properly, instead of storing the things, like saturated fats and carbs in places like your liver and in my case, belly.

I think anyone interested in correcting their diet and losing unwanted fat, should take a look at this. Here’s some of the studies and a page related to a Paleo Ketogenic diet. If this doesn’t peak a person’s interest that wants to improve their health, they aren’t paying attention! (As I tell myself to pay attention, lol)

Has anyone here experimented with the ketogenic diet or low carb way of eating either while on treatment or during their Hep C life?  Any opinions or advice are welcome and appreciated.

TIA,

hoodie
