Hello Grace hope you our doing well.I too have applied for Disability:To no avail.at this time.and Aid Medical as well.Numerous appeals next step is court with an Attorney.My Hep-C was eradicated in the past.I'm dealing with the Long term side affects from the Pegasys and Copegus which can be very painful at times,causing me not to work at my full potential.I'm going with the flow and taking it one day at a time.I can tell you what i have been trying and most of my info comes from the internet.Dig up anything to do with Disability.Read to other people stories.Keep a journal of your daily experiences see as many Dr's as you can afford in ref.to your issues.My experience is if you are educated the Government fills you can fold cloths and answer phones.Please pray as often as you can if you wan't to.Do your home work.Good luck.If you have any info you can throw my way please do so.

What and how did you get your Disability.Was it due to the fact you have a Virus?.Please elaborate.Thank you.

I have been declarred disabled. The main thing is to have a lawyer. It took me a year of not working before I finally went to court and was approved. It was a long ordeal but once I got it; it was great. I did get retroactive money for the year I was out of work.
Within that site, you can find support/advocates for your state, Grace.
I really can't help you, even though I'm in the US- I never applied for disability. It can be done, I know of others that are on SSI because of HCV- but it takes up to 2 years to get the benefits.
You might have to go to your local State Aid office and apply for emergency funds, including Medicaid.

I am looking for information. I have applied for disability due to many issues, depression, mood disorders and hep c. I applied in September 2008. It was denied once - then I got an attorney, who filed a "Dire Need" letter.
Can some of you write your experiences, if you've applied and have been successful or denied once, twice, whatever.
