Hi Paula, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your husband`s diagnosis and I do hope the spot on his liver doesn`t become cancerous.
In your profile details, on your whiteboard, you asked about how your husband`s disability would affect his monthly compensation and I`m referring you to the US Department of Veteran`s Affairs website. You`ll find a lot of helpful information there, including information on preparing for transplants. If you use the search button on the page you should find what you`re looking for. You`ll see some contact details too, hope that helps...
Wishing you and husband all the best, keep in touch and let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the information you gave me. It is very helpful. My husband has hep c 1b from viet nam and has had for many years. They have recently told him he may need a transplant soon. He is 67 now. We are looking for any info that can help us prepare.

PS. Hi Vectorwoman, My eyesight is not good enough to see if the beast you are holding is real, or a cuddly toy. It looks very well nourished if real! At least I can see it is not a raccoon or opposum......... Hope you are feeling good, Love Annie xxxxx
