That`s good Aaron. I`m sure I lost enough hair to stuff a small pillow, and am still shedding.
Ty, good news from you too. It`s so good to feel that the old enjoyment of life is coming back. That made me smile about you having to carry Buster home, yes, maybe no wallks for a while yet!
Hi Dee, hope you`re doing ok now. Nice that your hair is getting back into condition. I love the emo! I can`t seem to use them any more, my post disappears.

Hi Aaron, Congratulations to you on your blood results, especially the und part. Your doing great! Back to the hair thing, mine started to fall out around 4 months of tx. As soon as the tx was over, it stopped falling out. It's coming in slowly now and it acturally shines, once again. It is still thin but it looks better.Ha ha ha nobody seems to use this 'emotion" it's "Grandma". Good luck to you Aaron, Hugs Dee

Yes, that's Buster. Seventy-five pounds and half that is his head, lol. He's a big baby though and just loves running around with the grand kids and their friends. My sister also has two Bull Terriers They're known as the clowns of the dog world, but they are almost impossible to train, they don't take anything very serious! Take care, ty

Hi Aaron,
I'm glad to hear that things are improving each day, I feel the same way. I also have the itching all over. I tried antihistimines, but they make me spacey and don't seem to help me much. I have noticed my mind clearing a little and some of that old desire to do things coming back.
I'm almost ready to take Buster for a walk, which is always a major event. He walks great until I decide that that's far enough and then he lays down and won't get up. I have to carry him back to the house and I'm not quite ready for that yet!
It's great you're back in the gym, I can't wait...

To top it all my vac has broken so I`m having to go round picking up mine and my cat`s hairs off the floor, lol. I love your idea of doing something constructive every day - that is such a positive thing to do.
Hi Lesley - that`s really funny! I haven`t put any mascara on for months, just slapped some foundation on - I don`t think I`ll even try for a while. I`ve learned to embraced my inner slob while on tx. lol.

It's scalp and follicle dehydration from the ribavirin. My case nurse said that it usually presents around month 5. It was about 4 months for me. I've lost about 1/4 of my hair and about 1/2 my mustache.

ALK normal range = 30 - 110 mine is at 111 same as last blood a little high still at one point in treatment it had droped down to 99
AST normal range = 19 - 45 mine is at 29 up from last blood which was 27
ALT normal range = 9 - 47 mine is at 49 up from last blood which was 47 thanks for you time :)

Gidday Aaron,
Welcome to the post-tx, s'pose I should hang a shingle somewhere, maybe later... Heh' nice little perk you've got goin' there in a 2 week post-tx PCR sport, and in my book, you were only a short-term geno 3 tourist.
No wuckers there mate, you'll bolt it in, although I can't really see why they do a PCR at 2 weeks. I had one when I finished (did you Elizabeth?) did you, or maybe no and this is why you are having it now ?
2 weeks and you are getting your energy back ? You're kidding, I've been finished 5 weeks and I had to look up what energy was !!
Only kidding:) Good onya' mate, that is impressive tho' you lucky bugger, I'm still struggling a fair bit, things are pretty hard and I feel like being back in the real world is like the first time I've been here, and you just walk back into life like gettin' off a bus. !
I don't think there's any need for nerves about the test. I was going to say tomorrow but I guess it's now today, (see were not even on the same page !!) You went UND in under 4 weeks, so that virus can't even get a visa it's that far gone, so rest easy mate. It's no accident you are bouncing around like a teenager, you haven't had to deal with that virus for 6 months, it's dead and buried.
If by some unfortunate error you were positive it would be better to know asap, but that's not gonna happen, beside you were banging interferon into ya two weeks ago mate, that's why I'm amazed you feel energy period.
Good luck with the results mate, they are a forgone conclusion......negative. Keep up the recovery rate mate, you'll be breaking some records with those blood tests:)
Cheers,
Brendan.
P.S. You won't get the PCR results on the same day as the test mate, sorry, it's gonna be a couple of days on that cold tile floor before the results to that'll pop out
