Both of you below describe the itch I'm having pretty well. No rash, completely random, and it feels annoying like bugs crawling on your skin. I have been putting a ton of lotion all over and this gives some temporary relief.

i got the itchies after ending incivek, no new rash or anything. It just felt like my skin was crawling and bugs were gnawing their way out of me. It was so random too, never the same place twice, just all over. And nothing helped either. I couldn't sleep or relax, just scratch. It finally eased up in the third week, but i still have spells of itchs from time to time but it's getting better now.

Itching- Swabbed with Tea tree oil helped for about 4 hours. Wet towel frozen seems to help for the burning.

Hi Karen,
When I first started tx my rash was so bad I took to wearing just a sarong and nothing underneath so nothing would touched my skin and it really worked, some of the home remedies for sx can be quite amusing at times.
Cheers, Greg

Iv decided it may be Ribavirin rash, although Telaprevir causes nasty ones too. Running around working and moving boxes from garage to house put me in the sun (105 temp outside) a lot. I'm almost unpacked n wanted to see what a day of staying cool will do to rash. My air conditioner cranked up at night helps too.

Topical Benadryl lotion? I think it's called Caladryl. Of course you'd be all pink! How 'bout an Aveeno bath? My mom swears by the Sarna, she's dealt with eczema most of her life.

Hi,
I got prescribed something called hydroxyline which worked big time - tried everything else. Hope this helps,

Great gams! Thanks girls. I can't send a pic of mine. Upper chest. Still red, hot n swelling. I'll look up the Sarna cream. Benedryl gives me a hangover, but I'll take a childs dose again tonight. Rash caused some to discontinue Telaprevir. The nurse got right in my face n asked if I was sure I could handle a rash. If I had opted for Bociprevir it was 48 weeks, but no rash. Haha! I can't back down now! Sending good vibes ur way..

Hi, I am not on triple therapy, just inter/riba but the itching is just part & parcel of Tx I am afriad. Just keep an eye on it tho, my just started out as an itch, now I have rash that covers various parts of my body. my Dr has prescribed AH's & a cream called diprosone but that is just offering relief at times, not clearing it. Sometimes I feel as though I am going to scratch myself to death.. ahhh.. very frustrating.. The photo attached is just an example of my rash, sorry for the hairy leg, who's got the energy to landscape anymore?! lol Not me..
