Hi Faith, just wanted to stop in and say congratulations on completing treatment!!!! , and I hope you can find some relief from those headaches, (this may sound silly, but the ice pack works pretty good (sometimes)). Wishing you well, Iris

Hi Faith, I don`t think you get withdrawals as such but your body (and mind) certainly goes through a period of re-adjustment post tx, and it`s not unusual to get a bit worse before you get better. It makes sense when you think how powerful these drugs are, and what they do to us. They really do take a toll on our whole systems.
Take it easy, be kind to yourself and allow yourself time to recuperate. It`s a good idea to keep on with the water as well for a while, the meds can leave us quite dehydrated.
Good luck Faith, you`ll get there in the end! Jill xx

After 48 weeks your body will expect its dose of Interferon & Riba, you naughty scamp are denying it what it expects.
Body will get cross, throw a tantrum, and take it out on you until it gets used to the New Regime.
Shouldn't be long.
Its all good from here on, just takes a little time.

It's not a withdrawal from the meds but a resurrgence of the symptoms that they have been masking. My liver really hurt and my breathing was laboured - this can take up to 6 months to pass. Don't be worried. Also it is a bit if a shock after getting so much support from healthcare professionals to be elft on your own to flounder around and look for answers.

I just finished my 48 weeks of treatment with riba and interferon. I don't what is happening, but I feel worse now! My headaches are worse and won't go away with anything. My doctor says there are no withdrawals from these meds and I should feel better immediately.....I don't believe him one bit. Has anyone experienced this? If so, how long did it last? I really didn't expect this
