Ive been extremely hungry the first week on incivek, now food tastes gross, I barely shove it down.
Yeah, the metal mouth. It does wreck the taste of things. Fortunately the Incivek part of the treatment is only a few months and goes relatively fast. The metal mouth goes away pretty quick upon finishing it.
I took some liquid iron supplement right after finishing tx, it tasted exactly like the metal mouth from the drugs. Now I know where the name comes from lol.

Congratulations brother. Good luck on the VL. Thanks for sharing your experience. I would just like to know it's normal and not have to stress about my thyroid. I'm sure our bodies are just starving from being deprived for so long.
Best of luck,
Derek

When I was on treatment the last few months I couldn't eat at all. I lived off protein drinks, V8 vegetable juice ****tail, fruit juice and Boost supplement. After finishing the last dose of Riba, my appetite went off the hook. My body was screaming for food. I loved it. I still eat more than before treatment. I wouldn't worry too much, enjoy it!
Just did three months post treatment VL load test today. Feel 100% normal except my sleep patterns are still a little out of whack.

I've been done with triple therapy for 10 days now and I've never been so hungry all the time. I can eat, be full and 20 minutes later be starving again and not have room in my stomach to eat. Is this normal? Is my thyroid blown? Thought I'd ask on here before I talk to the doc.
