Hi Luv2ryde,
I only had to do the 24 weeks and my hair started falling out pretty bad the last two months...Yours may too but I think people with really thin hair are the ones it shows the most on..or actually go bald. Who cares either way...your getting healthy and your hair will grow back. Congrats on starting your treatment, it will be over soon...I did everything the doctor said including no swimming, dying my hair or getting in a hot tub. One suggestion: start an anti depressant immediatley...you will need it.
Hugs!

Hi Shaun,
Thank you for the advise...its been a week and a half and the muscles are doing exactly what you said. I am feeling better mentally/ emotionally and physically but the physical part is taking the longest...today was the longest walk yet...I am taking vitamins, flax seed, green tea, lots of healthy vege's and fruits and still drinking lots of water. The itching has not really stopped adn I still have the rashes and I am still losing my hair...hopefully that stops before bald spots start showing..my hair use to be really thick (lucky for me) but is really thin now.
IT does feel great for it to be over...thanks for your response...seems I am on schedule so far.
Hugs!

Hello all,
Can anyone suggest what vitamins I should start taking besides my multivitamin when treatment ends? I also use to go to the gym at least 5 days a week but havent been in long time...does anyone have an eta on energy level or just advise on how to get healthy again
Like Derek said, getting back into shape in the weeks after TX is a gradual process. You will get sore easier than ever before and recover slower. Lack of ocygen to muscles for months takes a toll. Just keep at it, you will get stronger and stronger every day and feel better every day. Listen to your body.
My energy started coming back really well at 3 weeks. Felt almost full strength at 5 weeks.
Vitamin D, B vitamins and iron supplements. I had cracks on the corners of my mouth that wouldnt hear for a month after tx from lack of B vitamins and iron. Took a lot of supplements for that. A good multivitamin everyday too. And LOTS of healthy food.

Definetely take excercise as it comes. Dont push too hard, but you should try'n push a little each day. Progressivly getting better each time. Now my brother was just telling me about this vitamin injection. You go to a clinic and they put all of the importnat vitamins directly into your blood stream. She does it all the time and I've been debating diong it. But it is an idea. Other then that eat healthy nutritious foods, and get your rest!

How about we start with: YAY, YOU FINISHED!!!
I think the best thing to do is listen to your body as you resume exercising. Everyone recovers their bloodcounts at a different speed so just do what feels right. I think you'll be able to tell.
Best, Dave
