Jo,
Don't worry about the 12 pounds, you'll lose it on the inter/riba combo.
Not sure how much I gained, but lost 20+ since i started triple and it's still coming off. Only issue is atrophy from laying around. Lots of yoga if you are up for it!

When I was on tx, I could not eat anyting solid in the mornings. I took my Incivek with two tablespoons of olive oil and occasionally with a protein drink for two months. You adjust, adapt, and bite the bullet. The Incevik part of the treatment passes relatively quickly.
I finished treatment in February. I will find out if I have achieved SVR in about three weeks, so yes it's worth it!

If you cook, cook with those 2 tablespoons of olive oil. My go to breakfast was breakfast tacos...I pan sauteed the tortillas, eggs, and cheese with the olive oil...done and easy! :) This can be applied to many things and hides the fat well.
good luck,
Meghan

I am with you Vernon, and am at 3 wks in. 2 tblspns of canola oil goes down easy. The olive oil has a peppery burn your throat sense. My newest discovery for afternoon fat is a stick of linguica, yummm!!!!!!!!!! I am also varying everything else including the avacado.
I am with you on the fruit as well its so tasty and hydrating. Snacking on watermelon all day! yea!!! Bob

Silver bullet. 2 ounces of greek yogurt, frozen berries from costco, oz of olive oil, oj to thin it a bit. Blend in the Silver bullet easy, smooth and tasty. You'll burn out on this in a few weeks but hey it's only 12 weeks and you have 7 to go.

What got me thru the night feedings was whipping cream and fresh strawberries. 4 tablespoons of whipping cream (unwhipped) is 20 gms. Whip it up and throw some berries in, really went down easy. Good luck.

When I would get "disinterested" in all the fatty items in the house, I would usually fall back on on a life long favorite, whole milk. Each glass is 8g. of fat. Combine that with three pecan sandies cookies and you are at 20. So when all else failed, I would do my best with nuts, sausage biscuits, cheese, peanut butter, etc. then supplement with a glass of milk. Many of the pre-packaged breakfast items are good choices, since they tend to be fatty. There is one fellow on the forum that used two tablespoons of olive oil, straight from the spoon, at ten grams per spoon. But there is one thing I cannot deny. By the end of twelve weeks I couldn't stand any of it. That is one immediate benefit to finishing Incivek. The schedule gets less important the moment the last two pills go down the hatch. And the fatty snacks completely go away. For me, this was as wonderful as the reduced side effects. Alan

Only 5 weeks in and I'm burning out on fat foods. It's getting hard to find something with 20 grams to eat at 9 p.m. Nuts aren't agreeing with me. Only so many avocados go down, tried ice cream but it is a little to rich. Cream cheese stuffed salami, tried sweet rolls topped with butter. Got some pre-cooked bacon strips but they dont appeal. Im wondering about chips and dip.
Also finding myself eating about 5x as much fruit as I did before, but that doesnt help.
I have survived it. And actually feel so much better last week.
