I was talking to my Dr today and she said that the decision they are making now is whether or not a person can wait 2 years or do they have to be treated now. incivek has helped most of the people who have tried it but the sx are tough sometimes. I had to stop too but most of the peolpe I know who were on it have cleared the virus. It has a pretty good record so far.
To not have to take interferon will be huge. I'm sure 5 years from now many different options will be available. Hope so.

Interesting article. I know Vertex, which is based in Cambridge, MA is in the process of building more facilities in the Boston area. From Renee's experience, Incivek resulted in some nasty side effects that led her to getting taken off it early (still undected on the double treatment though!) but I know many people have benefited. The more treatment options available, the better!
