Hi Steve, very happy you got your 8 week undet. That's an important one for Vict. Sorry to hear about your wife. I empathise with you as my wife had brest ca. 18 months ago, and was treated with resection and radioTx. The PET scan is clear but it's still a tightrope.

Hi Steve, Ideally we are looking for a 2 log VL drop after the leadin. That would be a drop from 500,000 to 5,000. That is an indication of your Interferon sensitivity. If you don't achieve that, you are looking for an Undetected after 4 weeks of Victrelis ie after 8 weeks of Rx.

I think on triple vic going from 500k to 100k in 4 weeks is good. Keep in mind the virus hasn't been hit with the wrath of all 3 RX's yet, and type 1 really needs the third to properly kick it's butt.

I'm on the same treatment as you are, just took my 4th shot yesterday morning. I will add the Vic next week. I'm sides have been slowly creeping up. I'm currently working nights so I do the shot in the morning after work. It seems like with each one my energy level drops with it. So far I've just manly had chills the day of the shot, and fatigue and achy joints the rest of the time. Good luck with your treatment.

All the best of luck to you Steve, I remember how nervous I was before my first shot - it`s such a relief to get it over with and to realise how easy it is to do. Good to hear it`s going ok for you so far.

Hi Steve, Welcome to treatment. I presume you're on the leadin, and will add the Vict. after 4 weeks. At your age with a low viral load, things should be reasonable. You probably have checked the side effects (Sx) section and there are plenty of us to help if you have any questions. Good luck!

Which triple are you doing? We have veterans of both, but our responses will be more meaningful if we know which meds you are using. Either way you are in good hands here.
