Great news, Shep, congrats! Good to hear you`re doing so well. You`ve certainly got a lot going on over the next year or so! While we`re on tx we become completely focused on getting through it, it has to be like that, and once it`s over it can be another challenge catching up with what`s happening with our families and friends again and readjusting to "normal" life. You`ve got lots of happy times ahead of you, and you`ll get up to speed with things soon enough!
Hope to see you around still when you get the chance to drop by, you`ve been like a ray of sunshine here!
Good luck with everything. All the best to you, Jill xx

Hey Alan--I am sorry we didn't get to connect to--it was an exhausting but really good trip. And my yard is a mess --I have trees down that need chain sawing--which I don't do! Weeds need pulling, bushes need trimming. The heat and drought are making yard work a challenge--anyway that is the excuse I'm using. Hope the weekend wait isn't too long--I know it will be good news!
Phil--we do need to come with some new excuses--eventually the heat is going to go away. Then I guess it will be too cold?!

Shep my good buddy, you bring up a very important point. While we are on treatment the world continues to turn, and when we pull our heads up for the first time in six months (or nine in my case) things are happening. I am already in awe of all the things I need to rule on, decide about and deal with. Just the chores outside my house, some dating back to Winter, are almost overwhelming. If you disappear from time to time, we'll know you are taking care of business. Just don't go away. I wish your parents the best and good luck on the wedding plans. Sorry I missed you in DC, but maybe we'll get another chance later on. I am still waiting for the results from my end- of-treatment labs which were done on Monday. The CRNP says the regular counts all look great, but the VL is not back yet. So I sit and drum my fingers on the table. It's going to be a long weekend.

Yes, Shep. That is a relief. I don't get my 1st VL until the 3rd month post, in September. Always waiting for something! Life did and is continuing. I sometimes miss my tx excuses to get out of it, but only the excuses, not tx.

Wow! What a relief--still UND!
The first 4 weeks have been pretty good. Thinking clearer (most of the time), can spell again, more energy, much better mood--still have moments of left over Riba rage, still tire easily and my hair is continuing to fall out! Overall I cannot complain. Looking back it really was quite a journey and could not have gotten through without my forum family!!
I came off TX only to face the issues of really elderly parents--both are in their 90's. They seemed to have drastically declined while I was undergoing TX. If I am not around much it is because I am taking care of mom & dad. My youngest daughter wants to get married next year--so we are wedding planning and my oldest is having a baby in December--means a cross-country trip at Christmas time. I thought life was supposed to slow down while I was sitting on the sidelines. Whoops!
Wishing everyone success! I know what a long haul this is--BUT I would not have missed this opportunity to get healthy. Hugs to all of my new family!!
