So glad for you all. DH just fnished yesterday. I hope he feels better he has lost 20 lbs. He always used the olive oil method- the PDP ruined his appitite and taste buds. He is on 24 weeks first time treatment.

PDPs bad
Purple Devil Pills that is. Finishing those was my biggest milestone as I knew I could then handle the rest of treatment no matter what. Congrats Mark, may it be smooth(er) sailing from here on in!

Congratulations Mark!!! U will start feeling better! And yes sleep better too. My painful itching, rashes and skin burning left week after Invicek. My skin went nuts after treatment almost went to hospital. Doesn't happen tO everyone. My tongue feels better too. I even drink a cup of coffee daily now. Be off Invicek 12 days. I too am here for 48 weeks. But I try not to think about that. Just stay healthy and make myself get out some. Happy for ya:) JoAnne

I haven't seen my GI since starting treatment(his office is over 100 miles away) but we discussed it prior to beginning and decided the 48 week course would be best. Due to my earlier experiances relapsing after treatment ended, I want to give myself every chance I can. I have an appointment to see him in a couple weeks, after the 12 week test comes back, and will find out for sure. But I'm hoping for the long course. Kinda strange to say that!

I know the feeling, Mark. Being free of that schedule felt so good. I still had some killer side effects, but knowing my day was my own again made me so happy. How much peg/riba time will you have?

In about 3 hours I'll take my last Incivek. I just sat down and disabled all of my "8 hour forced feeding" alarms and nothing could ever have felt better. Going UND @ 8 weeks was very exciting, but I've never felt such releif in my life as when I shut-down the alarms. I can sleep till past 6A.M. and go to bed before 11P.M., I can eat what I want, when I want it. Going into this I thought the eating and dosing schedule would be easy, but I soon came despise the whole thing. Thank goodness this part of TX is over.
