Hi LaBajista, that is great news that you`re still undetectable, what a huge relief that must have been for you! Sounds like your tx is going well for you with few sx, apart from those painful lymph nodes.
That is quite a lot of weight to lose so far though, although I do know how difficult it is to eat enough if you have no appetite. If you`re still losing weight and you`re worried about it, here a link to an article that has some suggestions on how to add extra nutrition to your diet while on tx, you might find it useful...
Best of luck with the rest of your tx, do keep in touch and let us know how it`s going! ~ Jill

Saw my hep c docs today about the lymph nodes, which are becoming pretty painful at times. My labs were good (my liver enzymes are back to what they were pre-hep c, about a year ago) and I'm still undetectable - and they couldn't really say what could be causing the inflamed lymph nodes. That didn't make me feel too confident, but I was so very worried that the virus might be back, so I'm just relieved!
They lowered my pegasys dose to 135mcg, though, because I weigh less than 100lbs (I've lost more than 10lbs since starting treatment) and because of my genotype. Not sure if that's a good reason because I'm really not having many side effects at all, but whatever.

Hi again LaBajista, sorry to hear you sounding low but please don`t jump to any conclusions about the virus being back, it`s quite likely that the swollen lymph node and the fevers you`re getting are tx related. Let us know when you get your blood results. Keep going and good luck! Jill

Old thread, but I just found out the lump in my groin is a swollen lymph node. I've been having some low fevers lately too. I'm worried that the virus is back, could that cause it? I hope it is just from the interferon, like Michaele said! My PCP said there was no sign of infection or blood in my urine and ordered an ultrasound next week. I go for my 3 month labs tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out if anything is up there...

Looked on other site ;seems to be side effect of interferon , I'd still ask dr or call that 24/7 hotline nurse which Rx company provides.I havent started tx yet, and I dont really know. Hi Michaele,
I noticed that you mention chewing on baby aspirin. Aspirin is a blood thinner and can also cause stomach bleeding if taken in excess, so unless your doctor has advised you to take it for a medical condition, it's a very bad idea.
It's one of the painkillers that is advised to avoid on treatment due to the blood thinning properties - that includes all drugs that are members of the same family, such as Ibuprofen.

Thanks so much Michaele! I think interferin does the trick as well but I will call tomorrow. I know if it hurts, it's not the worst case:)

hi, Sorry your in more pain ,have you had any infections lately? Those nodes collect alot of junk and can stay swollen for quiet a while. Personally, I'd call the dr office and ask them. A phone call is quick and free, and in the event there is a problem , you'll know. Good luck Michaele Sorry I didnt have a better answer

Anyone experienced painful lymph nodes? Underarms and ground area are especially bothersome...does low WBC levels have to do with anything?
Thanks a lot!
