Just take it as it goes Margo. Your body will tell you what you're ready for. You'll still have up and down days but both of those get better all the time.

Hey guys, this is almost it for me. Even though I felt pretty good throughout my treatment( except the Incivek months) I do look pale and sick. People comment on my appearance daily, it is noticeable. I try to cover up with with bronzers daily. Lost 80% of my hair, the most upsetting part. Lost weight, from 128-118 and still going down. Lately experience nausea, especially at night, insomnia and radiating back pain. My blood tests are pretty normal according to my doc WBC 1.9, lol. Cough and congestion has been with me for 3 months. No appetite, can't eat meat at all, indigestion. Energy levels were always pretty good but did have some anxiety and rage issues :), antidepressants helped a bit but brings hunger pains at night. I will still be here for anyone who needs support or advice, like you were here for me. Thank you everyone!
It only gets better from here. Mood, apetite, sleeping improved for me 10x after medication. You might actually have to take it easy on the food because my apetite came back with a vengeance and all of a sudden, food was awesome again.
I suggest berry smoothies as a tool to rebuild. Berries, yogurt, milk, protein powder, plus boosters like green tea and spirulina. You don't have to gulp it all down - just slowly sip it. Melatonin for a sleeping aid - used to take about 1.5 mg and it works wonders.

Woohoo, you're done! Yes it was a rough ride but now it's detox time. You'll start feeling a little better each day as the the RIBA slowly leaves your system and your red blood cells regenerate. I felt noticeably different at 2 weeks and relatively speaking, absolutely amazing at 6. I dropped about 10 pounds of fat and 5 pounds of muscle during the nausea/no exercise tx regimen. I've made it my mission to gain the 5 muscle back while losing another 5 of fat. I'm eating well and slowly built up to where I'm working out 5 days a week. And funny thing, the behavior is not too hard. It used to be tough to have enough discipline and willpower to exercise regularly and not make exceptions to eating crappy stuff. But coming off the physical/mental sacrifice of treatment...it's been relatively easy.
But that reminds me. If you're all done, Margo, it's time for my 12 week labs on Monday.
Good job Margo!
Thanks Dave! Let us know in your blood test! Any suggestions in the detox?
