Can't recall exactly how long after being done with TX it was; but my WBC bounced back pretty quick; my Reds were a bit lethargic but now last I knew my Blood count levels (WBC/Red) are back in the normal range...same with my ALT and AST lvls.... :)

mine are back to normal but platelets are still low...but they have been low ever since 1999 so it should take a while for them to bounce back.

My bloods were back to normal by twelve weeks post treatment. I still take a multivitamin each morning and a vitamin D3 2000iu gel each evening, and work out regularly. I use way too much sugar in my coffee and eat too much candy. I love a good steak and potato with butter and cream cheese. I use cheese sauce on all my strong green veggies. So I am doomed to die. But it will not be from Hep C. It will be from stupidity.

Well I thought my blood counts were bouncing back--then started feeling real tired--had blood work done after Thanksgiving--my RBC droppped again-weird. Doctor put me on iron and vitamin C. Now my stomach is a mess. Minor issues really... just whining.

I keep forgetting to get my bloodwork done I keep meaning to then have to plan and remember to take change for the bus, and remember where exactly I have to get off the bus. Just got set up with a new Primary Care doc who's office litterally is behind my building (heck yes!) have an apt on the 27th and will be getting bloodwork then for sure. Was really starting to feel I was beggining to bounce back; but over did things a bit and now I thiiiiiiink I have a cold or something. ( I am SOOOO praying it is not the flu; the nasty one that is going around early this year in the northeast) the past few days I have felt like I did after taking my weekly Interferon and a shot of Nuepogen. (Cringe) I have an apt with my Liver doc in January.

My RBCs went back to around normal but the whites stayed a bit low until week 10-11. I had another appt for my RA so I got my blood work a little early with the exception of the VL.

My RBCs were ALMOST there at 4.09 (norm 4.2 - 5.4) at 3.5 weeks post. But my WBCs were still quite low.

I was the opposite. The whites were normal in 2 weeks, but took 12 for the reds to recover completely. We all seem to be different. As long as they move in the right direction, I think its good.

Hi Dave, Riba can hang around for up to 6 months, so may still be causing a bit of bone marrow supression. They will come good.

My red blood counts rocketed up by 4 weeks, but at 12 weeks my WBC and absolute neutrophils are still a little below the floor of normal range. Anyone know what normal recovery time tends to be? Thanks, Dave
