Denise,
Its only interferon, which should be kept in the fridge. Pull it out 20-30 mins before the shot. Incivek and Riba are good in a room temperature closed box. By the way, you mentioned in your first post that you were taking many other meds. For good order's sake please consult your hepatologist which one can be taken during tx. Mine were restricted to Xanax and Dafalgan (paracetamol). Good luck again ...

Here, we get a plastic box with 4x7 compartments, dispensed with Victrelis. I mark each row Mon-Sun, and 7, 3, 7, 10. It's OK to put Riba and Vict (or Inciv) in the same compartment. I've seen the same things in Chemist shops with suns and moons, and you can even buy a 4x7 plastic container in a fishing shop- you know, where you can put hooks, swivels and sinkers. I'd be lost without it.

I used a conventional pill container with "morning" and "night" compartments, plus another one for the 2PM dose of Incivek (just one row of compartments) . Each day there were three compartments. I took the blue cooler with the two pill containers with me everywhere. The alarm clock was in there and set to remind me of every dose. Later in treatment I didn't need the alarms, but for the first four weeks or so it was such a help.

For me the easiest way to keep track of the Rxs was, I rounded up 7 old pill bottles. Then every Friday evening I lay out all the bottles and load each one with one days meds. 6 Incivek, 6 Ribaviran, 2 B12, 2 D3, 4 Tylanol, 1 multivitamin 8 Benadryl. Then each night I would put a full bottle on top of my billfold so I couldn't forget it. I bought a multi-day pill carrier, but sadly the compartments were too small. Plus I figured it would be better to loose one days worth of meds, versus a weeks worth if God forbid I loose or misplace them. I also kept 1 days worth stashed out in my desk at the office, just in case. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

My Liver Doc, told me it was OK to open all the Incivek blister packs and put in my pill boxes together with my other meds. I find it rather funny that Incivek is taken three times daily, costs about a billion dollars and all they could send me was a pill box with a.m. and p.m. compartments. So I had to get a single compartment box for afternoons.

Personally, I just take out what I need each day from the boxes and put them in the butter compartment of the fridge. 3 x 4 of victrellis and 1 x 5 of Riba. I almost screwed up once and took the wrong ones but caught it in time. It`s worked for me so far and I`m 16 weeks in.

This may be a silly question but...I received all my meds (triple therapy) and was wondering if I can put the Incivek and Ribaviran tablets in the same pill box container? This is my first time on the treatment and am a little overwhelmed with it all. I take alot of other meds so trying to get oranized is turning out to be a nightmare. Any suggestions will be help.
