Just had my 9 month post checkup. All blood work normal including PT/PTT and AFP. RNA still <43 not detected. Ultrasound showed nothing out of the ordinary. This was probably my very first anxiety-free checkup. I will repeat labs every 6 months and ultrasound every year, at least for a while.

Phil, you da' man. So glad the timing on all this crap worked out so well. Us old timers have to understand that we can be replaced by younger folks that can do the job for less money. I am prepared, and like you i won't freak out if they tell me to go home. Congrats on the apparently successful treatment. If you were going to relapse, you would have done it by now. Now go and enjoy your new found freedom.
Alan
PS. I am preparing to post a new avatar showing this year's thick and curly beard. Trying to prepare for snow boarding season, which should start any day now. We have waxed up the boards, replaced aging bindings and boots, and obtained our passes for the coming Winter. So mama Nature just needs to bring it.

When people ask what I'm going to do with myself I tell them...."Any fu###ng thing I want"
Life is too short to work it all away. Enjoy.

Still <43 Not Detected at 24 weeks post. Won't see or talk to the doctor until next year, but I'm calling it SVR. That's 52 weeks since the first shot. Overdue on my 2nd ultrasound (annual).
Feel pretty much normal, better than I did before tx except for a few nagging issues. The tinnitus and associated hearing loss appears to have increased. It was there before, just worse now. Guess its time to go see that specialist. I'm back in relatively good shape, lifting more and walking more than I ever did before. Still relatively thin after putting on the 10 pounds I lost. Think every bit of it went to my waist.
Found out on Monday that my last day of work will be Jan 31 (aka. laid off). At 58 years old and 32 years with the co, I am looking forward to retirement. Very glad I did this when I did.
