Just wondering.....is it possible to volunteer for a trial (non-interferon drug)? Or how do people get in these? I hope it all works out.

This very disappointing news must have been hard to get. Look at the bright side, no sides for the next year??? Like others have commented: the new treatments look promising. Just keep in mind that this bump in the road and isn't in anyway your doing. You're not the disease. Maybe this is a chance to let go, let go of the recent frustration and treat it as some sort of weird reprieve.

I know your feelilngs of frustration. Sometimes, I felt like I wasted 10 weeks of my life and missed a whole holiday season. But I am also hopeful that when I get my 90 day post treatment results, they will be good. Good for you for trying a second round of treatment though! That, in itself, takes courage.

Sorry to hear this. The treatment is so hard on us and then to endure it and it not work, that's a cruel turn. Look to the future with an open mind and heart.

Hi again Will, really sorry to hear this...you must be so disappointed. Take some time out now to recover and nurture yourself before the next round begins. Don`t give up hope...your day will come!
Wishing you all the best, Jill

Don't be discouraged. I am on my 4th attempt (study gilead sofosbuvir/gs-5885 and riba)...without interferon and little to no side effects. The drugs that will be coming out are going to be much better with less side effects...and ORAL. I believe interferon will be a thing of the past. Personally I will never go on the interferon again. The side effects on my 3rd tx attempt were far worse than my 1st treatment attempt with it (interferon). Hang in there.
