My MD and the pharmacy, where I picked up the drugs were clear about it : Pegasys (interferon) in the fridge (to be taken out 15-20 mins before
the injection), Riba and Incivek - room temperature (med cabinet). The flyers inside the box say the same.
I guess no harm to keep all in the fridge but the only one that requires it is Pegasys.

Yes, my doc and nurse told me I can keep three medications including Pey, incivek and Riba in refrigerator.
Thanks a lot

That must have been a big relief to you then, Lucy. So did your doctor say it was ok to continue keeping your Incivek in the fridge all through your tx, and not at room temperature? I just want to be sure that`s what you meant as this question does come up from time to time.
Hope you`re feeling ok today after your first shot. Don`t hesitate to ask as many questions as you like, we`re here to help. ~ Jill

This is a confusing topic, and I'm sure we have discussed it some time ago. Conflicting advice is given. I was told by my doc and the pharmacy to keep Peg, Riba and Victrelis in the fridge and just take it out when required. When I picked up my last box of Victrelis, I noticed it was next to the boxes of Incivek in the pharmacy fridge. Obviously it should not be frozen.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't make much difference, but we should clear this up once and for all. Would someone in the USA contact Vertex and get an answer? There's not even a Vertex agent over here.

It is probably OK, but you better do like JoAnne said and call the pharmacy. They always sent mine in the refrigerated shipping box with the Pegasys and Ribavirin all together, but that was only a couple of days at a time.
