Butcheeyboy.... looks like you have a couple of collies there. Am I right? Beautiful dogs! Charly dog is a collie/golden mix with a little shepherd. Man, you are almost done with the meds! Good for you! Soon the healing will begin. It's taken a good 6 months for me to start feeling alive again, but it is happening!
Wishing you all a speedy recovery to "the good stuff".

Hello fellow warriors! I'm feeling better each week as the days are getting longer here in Sweden (finally)! It's still cold, and the ground is still covered with fluff, and snow is still falling occasionally, but the extra hours of sunlight are wonderfully healing.
Charly and I are out every day exploring the forest and playing with the yellow ball.
Peace,
Mark

Mark, EXCELLENT EXCELLENT NEWS!!! you give us hope!! Why 26 instead of 24 weeks? Would u believe I am still on treatment, full dose! 39 of 48 weeks! I am so happy for you and your dog is Good looking! Thank you for all the support and guidance You gave me when I first started and was so scared! I hope to join you! Celebrate and enjoy!
Hi JoAnne, the reason it was a 26 week tx for me was because when my white blood count got really really low the dr spaced my interferon injections ten days apart. I think that happened 2 or 3 times. He still wanted me to take the 24 injections which extended the riba and overall tx time to 26 weeks. And congratulations to you... you are almost done!!!
Stay warm out there and Godspeed Slayers of the Dragon!

Very good job Mark so happy for you. Even Charlie looks happy for you. beautiful dog. I'm glad to hear about that reduction in meds working so well. I also believe just trying to keep the protocol of full dose should be revisited by the professionals that treat us. Maybe not everyone can get away with that but makes me wonder how many of are over treated with Peg & Riba. Someone said if these doctors had to give it to their family or take it themselves they wouldn't. Happy you did it as the way you did and made it through Congratulations .

Hi Gang! Sorry I haven't been around... just not feeling very sociable these days. But....
I just got the call from my nurse... so for those of you wondering about reduced doses of meds, here are the results. For most of tx I was on half recommended riba and half or less of interferon, 24 week tx duration.... drum roll please..... UND 6 months post tx!!! No matter how ****ty I feel at the moment, ya gotta be happy about that! Am I right? I don't know how long it takes to grow a healthy liver but I'm working on it.
Hope you all are feeling fine and getting back to a healthier you.
Wish you well.
Peace, Mark
PS. my buddy Charly, getting me out of the house and keeping me moving on these cold snowy days.
