Yes Mark! I got Hep C all wrapped up In my head after tx failed and felt tired. I woke up one summer day and said I won't Lie here in bed! I will enjoy life and it worked. I thought I would never do tx again but when Doc mentioned the seriousness.....I came on Board and thankful for a chance to beat it! It's a personal choice as tx requires determination.

I'm in the same boat as Joanne. For about 10 years after treatment last failed me, I ignored the fact of having Hep C. There was nothing new on the market, so why bother? I never forgot it. Who could? But i never did anything about it and never kept track of the advancements being made in treatment. About a year ago I decided I was ready, and started looking around for new treatment options. I was really suprised by the new meds and got more excited about them. But the meds could have been out there for 9 1/2 years and i would have never even known about them, because I wasn't ready yet. When it's your time you'll know. No one can hurry the decision for you, only you(and your liver) can decide when it's YOUR time.

Hi again Diann, good to hear from you again! Personally, I delayed starting tx till I felt the time was right for me, partly because I had other health issues to deal with and also because my home situation at the time would have been too stressful for me to cope with the sx. We`re all different and have to take into account our own particular circumstances and health.
We`re here for you whatever path you decide to follow, best of luck, and keep in touch! ~ Jill

I ignored the fact I had Hep C after treatment Did not work 12 years ago. No since worrying about things You can't change. I had gall bladder removed 2 1/2 years ago and Liver biopsy showed cirrhosis, yet still no new medicine. I went to see My doctor when I heard about triple therapy.
i always kept up w Hep C posts.
As scared as I was about doing tx, I kept Remembering we can't live without a liver! Now with new medicine, there was something I could do About Hep C.
This forum has been a God send. I have grown attached to people I will never meet in person. We walk thru this together. I don't recall if you have tried tx before But the weekly injections are easier than 3 times a weeK injection.
You can do this and sounds like u r getting prepared
It takes time

Has anyone here finally reached Hep C overload after several years of non-stop reading, messaging, etc. and then went into a funk and just sort of slipped away into the dark hole of denial? Well, that's where I have been. Maybe because I have been dealing with so many other major issues in my life than weren't Hep C related and I had to let something go? Yes, I think that's it. But, I am back and I am looking at this dragon again and realizing I am not getting any younger or healthier and It's time to try and take care of myself instead of the rest of my family. Thanks for being here y'all...Much Love and gratitude!
