I recently had an implant tooth go bad, they had to remove it and replace with a bridge. But the cavity from the implant tooth won't heal, so it is taking forever to get this resolved. Also had a root canal on another, I suspent the low immunity is furthering these problems.

I asked my dentist about removing the roots. When I told him my platelets were 38, he laughed and said come back when you're over 100!
He was also happy to tell me the cost of an implant was now down to A$10,000
I may have to go back to work!

I was having a tooth issue towards the end of treatment. Brought it up with my GI that I might need a root canal or something, and he said no problem. He added that a tooth extraction could be done on tx if needed, too. Other doctors may have different opinions. Fortunately, antibiotics resolved the problem without a procedure.

Yuck Malcolm--hate to hear about the teeth. I am 6 months post and just had my first root canal and am getting my first crown ever. Both dentist and the endodontist were wondering what was going on with my teeth since I have cracks developing around old fillings. Pretty sure my dental issues are related to tx. Do pay attention to your teeth!!

Was just talking to my wife yesterday about my gums not bleeding anymore. I have always had problems with bleeding gums no matter what I did, alot of brushing, flosing, cleanings, even root scrappings, nothing helped. Every since I'v started treatment in Sep. my gums seeem to be alot more healthy, no more bleeding..weird..especially with low platelets.
Did get sores in my mouth and a real sensitiv tounges...stay away from hot peppers

I can't believe it. I've just got some taste buds back after finishing Rx, so was eating cereal this morning and broke off another molar at the gum line! This is from the guy that did two posts about looking after your teeth while on Rx.
Just been to the dentist who won't touch me with my low platelets and WBC, so temporary filling. Soungs like another implant down the track.
In 1998, after 12 months of Interferon, I lost 2 molars. Then in 2000, after 6 months of Interferon/Riba, I lost another molar. Interferon has cost me an implant, a bridge and 2 crowns. I wasn't warned about this great Sx of interferon back then.
I had my teeth checked, XRayed and cleaned 4 months ago. There was no sign of a problem then.
Interferon rots tooth enamel and with the dry mouth, high saliva pH, low WBC any caries goes beserk. Look after your teeth!
