I was wondering, do you like cranberry juice? I had heard it helps to keep from getting those urinary track infections. Maybe a glass each day might help you not get another one after this one. I figure it couldn't hurt. I hope things get better. I also don't mind the tired so much, but pain is another thing. I don't do pain well. So I understand. And I try to just look towards the next injection. Don't think too far out. It can be over whelming. But summer will be so much better! I still have 16 weeks to go, so mine will go into summer, but you will be done by summer. Doesn't that sound wonderful! :) Hang in there!

I love your tenacity! You're almost at the finish line. I remember how tired and awful it felt starting around week 40. Your body is amazing for hanging in there. The hcv is probably about gone, now you're just making sure that every last bit is DEAD. xoxoxo Karen:)

You hang in there! Just think how good it will feel when you start to 'be yourself' again.
I did shot #46 last nite and can't wait to finish March 20th
Dr. asked me if I wanted to stop because of side effects, HELL NO! We have come this far.

Oh JoAnne--you have reached the home stretch and it's a stretch all right. Know you can do this. Hope the doc can help with the UTI & kidney. Those alone will drag a body down. You have come so far and it won't be long. Hang in there! We are all hanging with you!!

Hi JoAnne,
I found the last weeks of Rx very difficult. Mentally and physically you have been ground to a pulp by 48 weeks. I broke it down into days, then broke it down further eg 5 more Sundays etc. That helped a bit. Really, it's just a matter of getting through a day at a time, knowing the end will come. You've proven to be tough, so you can do this.

Swollen kidney should be discussed with your doctor/nurse. No sense winning the battle but losing the war. The idea is to rid yourself of the virus while maintaining the health of both your kidneys. Please be smart.

All I can offer you kiddo:
Just for today, I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my whole life problem at once. I can do something for twelve hours that would appall, discourage, or overwhelm me if I felt that I had to keep it up for a lifetime.
Thinking and praying for you right now.

Aches and Pains? This to will pass!
I've been lucky only the fatigue, SOB, rash and nausa LOL. And lets not forget to mention the grumpiness, depression and truck loads of resentment. All of these I'm sure you have also had. You can do the next seven weeks standing on your ear. Piece of cake. Now you can cash in all the positive posts and encourgement you have given to others.
Hang in there girl! I know it has been a tough ride, and I can only imagine going the full year, but you have this. You are getting close and your quality of life will be back before you know it!
