That`s good to hear, Caryn, wish I`d had that advice when I was on tx! Thanks Malcolm!

It's a subcutaneous injection so don't go too deep. It's meant to be just under the skin. Cheers.
I followed these instructions last week and did not see any blood for the first time!

I asked my nurse a bunch of panicky questions after my first few injections. Why did I bleed one time and not others. Did I go too deep? Did I not go deep enough? What if I forget to get the air out of the syringe first? Should I use a BandAid after? She let me finish, then replied, "Alan, a subcutaneous injection is a fairly simple thing. If the medicine goes into your body, it is a good shot. If it goes up in the air, it is a bad shot". I felt silly and went home. The rest of my shots were good shots. Alan

I have done 33 darts and a drop of blood comes out about every time, also bruises and red spot, but it's going in. Believe me sx don't lie.
So don't worry. ~Bob~

That`s nothing to worry about, Dopey, and it`s not anything you`ve done wrong, it just happens sometimes. This is only your 3rd shot, this time round, so you`re probably still feeling a bit anxious about it. You`ll get more used to doing the injection and be more relaxed about it as you go along. Main thing is that the shot went in and is doing its job!

Hi Dopey, please don`t panic, I`m sure you haven`t done anything wrong. How much did you bleed, do you mean a drop or two or more than that? And what do you mean by "it seemed to bleed?" I should imagine you`ve hit a tiny blood vessel, which is quite common and most of us have done that at some point. ~ Jill

I have bled after every injection except the last one I did. Who knows if I was doing it right over wrong though!

Hi everyone I've just done my 3rd injection, (I'm doing pegasys with 1000 mg rebetol) after I injected today I seemed to bleed.

Is this a problem?
Have I done something wrong?
I feel a bit panicky.
