Thank you all for the encouragement!Im happy to say that after posting I had my injection day and it was the first one I didnt get to the point where I thought I was dying.I totally identify with Dougies comment about being hit by a Mack truck. It was getting really hard to give myself the shot knowing that later I would feel as if Id been run over. And then wow it was almost like I got a week off. I still felt crappy Monday but never got to the unbearable point which was a blessing.I am looking forward to the end of April when I will finished with the Incivek.I know that al lot of people here have it a lot worse, have been diagnosed much longer and so I feel so fortunate to get inspiration from such strong people.Even someone who hasnt even started yet is taking to give me encouragement!Amazing!Thank you all so much!

Please stay strong and don't get urself all worked up as u can make things worse.
Yes the rash is very very common.
Get lots of rest as being anemic/lethargic will also set in but think of the final outcome in the end.
I am in my last week of 48 and there were days when I felt like I had been run over by a Mack truck
and my Dr. kept asking if I wanted to quit but my answer was always 'HELL NO'!.
I became undetected @ week 8.
We are all here if u need some one to 'vent' to
Much love and prayers, Dougie

I feel your pain...I had severe Sx also I thought i was dieing At times. I was detectable too but its not uncommon. Keep up with the water and Watch the rash closly its what will put a end to your Tx. I believe I was a couple of days away from being taken off the inceveck because of the rash.. I was undetectable at 8 wks. I truely beleive it was from the inciveck.. HANG in there..try to keep your mind on something else...
tomorrow I get my 24 week VL..

You are almost 1/2 finish w Invicek! I had a tough time w it too. It's a harsh drug But....it can beat Hep C! Hang in there. Treat side effects ASAP. Drink lots of water, use lotion. Triamcinolone Cream prescribed by NP helps too.

Hi Steffie,
Good to hear from you again. Sorry you're having problems with Rx but hopefully the Sx will improve. Most members on Incivek report a marked improvement after 12 weeks, when the Inciv. is finished. There are posts that deal with management of the rash- use the ' Search' button. Keep us posted. Cheers.

Hi everyone. I posted here a few times when I was diagnosed. I was happy to have a place to go for advice. I have now started treatment with Incevik.Im on week five now and have just got my 4 week labs back.Im a little discouraged because I am still detectable even though it is <43.Im already experiencing many side effects. In fact the first day I took the shot I felt as if I was dying. The first weeks side effects were so bad my PA almost acted as if she didnt believe me.I took my temp and at one point it was up to 102. Every bone in my body hurt and I had severe diarrhea for about a week.Things have gotten much better but still pretty rough the day of and after the shot. Also have a rash developing and feel very weak and exhausted easily.I am happy to have this board to turn to for answers to my questions.Just thought Id write a little something about myself so I dont feel like a lurker.
