Hey Nicole --I am going on 8 months post and yes I have noticed that I feel much better in most respects than before tx. I have more energy, my body seems more efficient, the changes are very subtle. The brain fog cleared quickly and I had no idea how thick it was until a few days or a week or so after stopping and it seemed like the world became clear and focused again. Of course--the fog creeps back--think it is mostly age related now LOL! Hang in there--it is a long hard road!! But you will feel better at the end of the journey!

Idk if I have brain fog yet haha. maybe I'll only notice once I'm done. do people actually noticed their hcv symptoms after svr or do u think they just feel better compared to the last how many months of tx? I can't imagine I'd even really remember how I felt before tx after this is over. I was always tired before tx but not as tired as I am w anemia. that'd be awesome if I was all full of energy afterwards. I'm too young to feel this way.

They started me on procrit when my hgb dropped to 8.6. After two shots of procrit and riba reduction,my hgb is 11.8. (They have now increased RIBA to 600 and told me not to take procrit next week. Hope my hgb stays up!)

My nurse started my procrit when my hematocrit got down to 28. It took a week or so to start working, and two weeks to really make any diference. I didn't like it. But I did begin to feel better.

I was put on Procrit after my Hb dropped below 8 and my crit was 27. Everything went up after completing Incviek.

Doubt if you will need procrit. My Riba was lowered at week 17 after 4 weeks with HGB less than 10 . The first week it dropped some more, but was up above 10 again after 2 weeks. You will start to feel better, too.
