Hi All, Love hearing all the completion stories. Now and Future. After completing therapy. The first week seemed the same as if still on meds. The second week had headackes. Probly withdraw. this week has been wonderful. Skin looks better. Food taste great. And Dr. said tests show still UND. Blood counts are trying to go back up. I am so very HAPPY. How things change In a year. Another test in 3 months. Dr. said after that Its over. Gotta go. I have a jig to dance. Loving it. Cathy
That is great news!
My Dr. thinks 1 - 3 - 6 month 'check' would be best for me.
Finished my 48 weeks March 20th UND
Good Luck Cathy

Thank you guys, Your the best. JoAnneh and Jill. You have been like soul sisters on this journey. I always look forward to your posts. Just reminded me i am POST treatment. Yeahhhh. What can i say about the guys. That they are the ones that might be able to pull off childbirth. That they make me smile. Which was very important. Jill, my Dr. feels that i would only need a 3 month. Do you think i should insist on a 6 month. Do ya'll think this forum will ever become, Well outdated, ancient, and unneeded.

Well, Cathy, up until quite recent times the standard for SVR has traditionally been `undetected at 6 months post tx`, even for the `easier to treat` genotype 2 and 3`s. But it seems that more doctors are going along with an undetected result at 3 months. If someone is going to relapse it usually happens within the first 12 weeks post tx, so once you`ve made it to that point and the virus is still undetected, then you`re pretty much home and dry. If your doctor is happy with a final 3 month PCR in your case, then I think you should be guided by what he says.
Good question about the future of the forum! The future of Hep C treatments is certainly looking more and more promising, and we`re going to see a lot of changes over the next few years here on the forum once much easier and shorter duration `all oral` treatments arrive, although it will take much longer for them to be readily available outside the US. At some point in the future there probably won`t be a need for this forum, or others like it, but we will still be here as long as people need us, that`s for certain!

Fanatastic news, Cathy, congrats! Welcome to post treatment and life on the sunny side! Great to hear your recovery is going so well. So your doctor won`t be doing a 6 month vl test, then?
ps - I`m moving this to `Post Treatment` for you.. ~ Jill

Hey Cathy
Nice to read the great news, and the change in your body off the Meds.
Food taste better when you can enjoy it and taste its flavor to the full degree. (dah)
Sometimes we forget?
Anyway keep the good reports coming.
