I have not had either test done. My doctor said that the close monitoring of my blood work will determine how long I will be on treatment Since I am treatment naive. Jhelum told me to prepare for the 48 weeks but the shorter treatment is not out of the question.

Hi Ranelle,
Have you had a biopsy or Fibroscan to assess your liver damage? If not, how's your doctor going to determine your length of treatment? Cheers.

Had my pretreatment labs done and saw my physician today... He approved me for treatment! have set a start date for June 2nd! Scared and excited, but feel more confident about treatment from reading posts on here. So thank you everyone for sharing your journey with us. I am going to do the incivek triple therapy. Any words of wisdom would be great!

Hey Ranelle, I remember feeling scared to start yet Thankful for a change to beat Hep C.
At the top of forum page is 'Search' click it and Enter topics as in 20 grams of fat, rash, shards of glass, etc For info. Purchase products you may need before tx As in Prep H, senistive baby wipes, lotions, Prep H wipes, etc... To treat symptoms immediately.
I never felt nauseated or had loss of appetite. I gained 10 lbs. I think I just got use to eating During the 20 grams of fat stage.
Remember that Invicek success depends on Eating 20 gr of fat w it.
Very helpful for me: Put RIBA In weekly medicine dosage container--use The kind that has 2 a day one for am and pm!! Keep medicines in the same place along with phone number to Doctor, hotline to Invicek. If you get worried Or concerned you can call them. Yes I did in the beginning! They were very knowledgable. DO NOT FORGET A DOSE OF INVICEK! Keep a pack in your car or purse for emergency. I was told to never go anymore without it w me! I set my iPhone alarm clock for dosage times to repeat daily.
We are here for you and I made it doing 48 weeks. I Am one month post tx. Glad u found the forum! It Rocks!!
