@Jerry, seems Riba is hammering you more than interferon. I wish i had 3.5 WBC during tx (that Neupogne shots, were not that cheap), i went low till 1.8 with WBC (and 0.4 Neu). Never had large issues with Riba anemia. Hgb went 109 and RBC 3.4 lowest. As my hepa said, it's good to see toxicity of Riba on hgb/rbc numbers, that means it's working ;-D seems it's pretty individual re blood counts. Someone gets hammered by Riba anemia, someone gets drained from WBC from interferon, some get really low thrombocytes and all combos in between.
to be honest, i wish i had pushed myself one more shot...i have realised my bone marrow was able to break blockade from interferon and make some damn WBC to fight that flu (or whatever it was). Man it's been strange without shots n pills. Not that i miss em rashes still present on both shoulders (shot spots of Neupogen and Interferon) and on legs. I am still strugling to get some weight back ;/
as my hepa said, now that you are done, stop worrying and go get a best lunch u can have. treat yourself a bit. Tho she is still anxious to see my VL result before she is off to vacation. I guess she is, right. Get yourself a best meal you wish for (of course without alcohol and high fatty suff for now) after you finish with last batch of pills
@Malcolm, i am indeed a hard man to please ...as i said i want F0/A0 (well via FibroSure) and FibroScan <5kPa, and i want to see on ultrasound a liver without any fatty cells and not even slightly enlarged (and of course EOT+3 and 6month UND RNA VL)...then i can rest at the moment i am enjoying in my WBC numbers being there for me
@Jill cheers! can't wait to put this viral issue behing me

Zlikster,
My last "shot" is in the fridge and that's it. I' think your more than likely good without the full 24 weeks. You were only a little off and type 3 clears pretty easily they say on Peg & Riba right?
Don't know what those high ones are maybe Malcom can tell. Only thing the Doctor seems to worry about that fluctuates much is the HGB. I'm sure it will be lower tomorrow when I test again.

Zilf, yea my body doesn't like Riba. That's on low dose too... 600mg. I was only doing 400mg since it started hammering my kidneys bringing the functions up to a 1.9 or something and they lowered it a little at a time to that. Made me change Diabetes meds said it was dangerous to my kidneys at that point to be on metformin. They changed my blood pressure meds to help with the kidney functions also. After HGB of 8.5 & RBC 2.62 stopping the Riba all together and 3 or 4 (can't remember) shots of Procript they increased Riba to 600. I know that seems very low but I can feel the difference just like you could on the interferon. Doc said don't worry makes me anemic so it's doing it's job lol.
If I get a SVR 24 wks down the line that's all I am hoping for. Everything else should be better after time.
The tx causes all of us some problems. Be glad your through. You were the one getting hammered and I bet your body's thanking you for the break.
Me? I'll be tired like always but I'll be fine.
Take some time off and enjoy yourself. You have earned it.

Hi Zlikster,
You're a hard man to please. I'd fall over from shock if my platelets ever got to 318,000 and with a Hb of 12.4, you're obviously pale from lack of Bosnian sun! An ALT of 17 is another 'impossible dream' for me, so don't complain about it.
Your VL will be Undet. so go and relax. Enjoy the rest of Summer!!

I know it must be frustrating waiting for your results, Zlikster, especially as you`ve been watching your numbers and levels for so long now, but your hepa is right, enjoy the fact that your tx has ended and concentrate on getting stronger!
One step at a time, you`re doing very well! Great to see you posting here now!

cheers folks! Would be lovely to speedup a bit Riba removal, since i plan to hop to adriatic soon but i am soooo glad my bone marrow can operate freely without peg bullying it (phew, now i can get all those winter infections i have missed finally heheh)
Jerry, Lucy...nice to see last batch of shots in fridge rite? few more weeks! just hold on bit more! i wish i went thru all 24 of shots ;/ but i am optimistic nevertheless for SVR12/24 goal ;)
Jill, can't wait for PCR results...i can't get it off my mind, tho my hepa said really clearly, njoy your recover and DO NOT think about PCR or blood count results i am still pretty much into it, whats worse i wanna do ultrasound of liver asap, keen to see is it still enlarged and fatty
Bob, to be honest, i never had issues with plt on tx, only WBC/Neu. Even Riba didn't killed my Hgb less than 109. Weird.
Matt, cheer mate. Waiting for that energy still!
best

Hey folks!
i had blood drawn 3 times today! yay! (blood counts, PCR and thyroid test)
i feel bit better, but still very tired and sleepy during day hours.
good thing is WBC numbers are back so are thrombocytes! tho RBC/HGB/HCT are still low and i look really pale (c'mon Riba get out of my body!). Ferum is bit low and so is ALP.
