I have always clinched and grinded my teeth and it has only gotten worse with treatment.....Thank God for my night gaurd! Now only if I could wear it during the day. My bottom teeth are hurting and now Im having dreams about them becoming loose and falling out! Guess thats more like a nightmare!

Hi Tig, wow. They don't tell you that going into it. I have a mouth full of crowns. I just made an appt. for next Tuesday at the dentist. I'm sorry you are having this problem. I use a Neem based toothpaste and a tea tree oil floss. I also use one of those Oral b electric toothbrushes. I have been having gum and tooth soreness issues about 5 weeks into treatment. I'll also ask for a fluoride tray treatment during the cleaning also to get to the enamel at the base of my crowns. Mallani has some good posts about toothcare during treatment. I hope it gets better for you soon.

I was recently having some discomfort when biting down. I mentioned it here and got some interesting replies. Well, I decided to see my dentist to see what was going on and got some sad news. In just 10 weeks there is significant damage to the enamel on my teeth. XRays also show loss of the material under a few of my crowns. Seems that most of my trouble is with the teeth I have crowned and will require replacement and in one instance I'm going to lose the entire tooth. He also told me that these drugs are turning my teeth dark. I noticed that and found that denying it and brushing doesn't fix anything. It's amazing that these drugs are so damaging to so many other parts of your body. (Scratching head...) oh well, just another side effect to list in my book of fun experiences with treatment
