Malcom, I am confused also. The April 2013 was from the day we met with the Hepatologist. We physically got the results back on May 28.
It took one month for the insurance to approve the treatment with started on June 25th.
Yes the Fibroscan showed F2 / F4
He must have this desease since he was a teenager when he got vitamin injections administerd by a visiting nurse who I am sure was not sterilizing the needles properly. So that menas that he has Hep C for over 40 yrs.
Since he has never smoked or used alchol, the deasease has progressed so slowly. 40 yrs. seems like a pretty long time to get to where he is now!
I am just so happy that at week 6 he was UND!!!!!
Of course I have other blood results, but those are since he started treatment.
Actually, its impossible that there was such a gap in blood work from 2004 to 2012! I am sure I have something in between.
but the bottom line is that the first report to show many things out of range was the one from 2012.
What numbers would point out in the 2012 report, that cirrhosis was in the equation?

Hi Mena,
I'm confused. You have posted Angelo's results from April 2013 but he didn't start Rx until July 2013. The decreased albumin, increased bilirubin, high AST and ALT and reversed AST/ALT ratio are all very suspicious of cirrhosis. I'm amazed that Rx was started with platelets of only 73,000 . In Australia, Rx is not considered unless platelets are above 120,000. Do you have any more recent results?
Has Angelo ever had a liver biopsy or Fibroscan to check for cirrhosis? Cheers.

How do these blood test compare to each other considering that they were done only 15 months apart?
Do the results that are out of range in 2013 show that the liver had deteriotated so much in 15 months?
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Mena
