Hi Do,
It becomes difficult for me. I hope, I am able to convey my thinking with my poor english:
Something strange happens in the community of hepatologists. For few weeks I have observed that old studies will refreshed,
a sentence from the beginning to the end, and so on, and a new paper is ready to publish. Abt-072 is obsolete, few days ago I have read
a "new" paper with a drug, which is hold on because of severe heart problems, this fact was mentioned at the end of the paper.
Why this, I assume the following:
The scientifical as well as the economical value of a scientist is measured in the quantity of publication in which he is mentioned or yet better he has published.
In the near future only studies with the issue interferon-free will find recognition. So they hustle to increase their values.
cheers

Hi all,
This trial could bring hope to those of us who have the "unlucky" IL28B CC genotype.
Here a communication from a French Hepato from September 2013. It's written in English, so no problem. It's about the great efficacy of the combination of ABT-450/r with ABT-072 and ribavirin in treatment-naļve patients infected with HCV genotype 1 bearing the IL28B CC genotype.

The only bad news if that one patient became detectable again 36 weeks after EOT. That's scaring
That site, normally reserved to doctors, seems interesting for such informations we do not see else where (at least I had not seen it !).
Have a nice day,
Do
