Hi from me too, and welcome.
As Tig has already said, we are not able to give you medical advice, although the fact that your mother`s report mentions small esophageal varices suggests that she has some degree of cirrhosis of the liver, although she will need to have that confirmed by further medical procedures and tests. The report also indicates that the cause of the melena (black stools) has not been found and so the next step will be for her to have a colonoscopy to try to find out more about where the internal bleeding is located.
I know this must be such a worry for you, but you`re doing the right thing by trying to find out more about your mother`s health conditions, and it`s good that the Hep C and other problems have been picked up now so that she can have the correct treatment. She is getting good medical attention which is the main thing, and once the exploratory procedures have been completed you`ll both have a much better idea of the best way forward.
Wishing all the best to you and your mother. ~ Jill

Hello Adnan,
I'd like to welcome you to the forum too. I'm sorry to hear that your Mother is feeling poorly. Unfortunately with her diagnosis of HCV and Diabetes Type II, she is going to have issues like this. They are two diseases that affect the body quite adversely until they are brought under control or cured. Try not to worry too much, it's not good for you either. I believe you're doing the right thing by having her under the care of a medical professional. Let them provide you with explanations on her condition and request quick action on her care. This will give her relief and help solve your fears. Allow them to complete the testing process and post the results here. We can't give you medical advice, but we will try to provide you with intelligent opinions and help finding additional information. At the end of this post, I'll add some links to websites with helpful tips and explanations of these conditions. Be sure to use our search function at the top of the page. We have many of your questions answered on these pages.
My mother has been diagnosed with HCV positive. She had some pain in her abdomen. We went to the doctor and then HCV was diagnosed. She also had black stools. The doctor told us that there is internal bleeding. This happened on 4th Jan, 2014.
Now the doctor has done endoscopy but they are saying not serious varices have been found. The report I saw and I typed it. It is as below
PATIENT HAS DIABETES TYPE II
REASON FOR ENDOSCOPY
RETROSTERNAL BURNING NO PAIN EPIGASTRIUM NO FLATULENCE NO NAUSEA/VOMITING NO HAEMETEMESIS NO MELENA YES DYSPHAGIA NO
ESOPHAGUS SMALL NODULE SEEN IN THE PROXIMAL ESOPHAGUS (21 CM) LIKELY LIPOMA; SMALL ESOPHAGEAL VARICES
