Absolutely, Matt, and I think we`ve all been very surprised to see how many new members are having this drug combo approved.
Unfortunately, it looks like some people are now running into problems with their insurance companies, so it seems like it`s still early days as far as getting it fully accepted as a treatment option is concerned. It seems a shame that the Cosmos trials only went to Phase 2 and that Phase 3 trials weren`t done, which would have provided much stronger data for insurance purposes.
Wishing everyone on the Olysio/ Sovaldi combo all the best of luck!

Its quite amazing and great news that this combo (Olysio & Sovaldi) is being prescribed and then approved by insurance companies since its off label from FDA. I guess that the medical machine has more power and influence with the insurance that we thought.
With all the patients being prescribed this combo in first half of 2014 its like having another phase IV trial but with real world variables and a lot more individuals with advanced liver disease being in the mix we should have no doubt about whether it will be effective or not.
This will really help indicate to us how well this combo will work and set a standard for an all oral treatments. It could also raise the price tag for insurance companies to moderate the HCV market, they might be more willing to pay out if it sustains a high cure rate.
