Hi all,
Thanks for your replies, I asked the doctor to write down the name of the trial so I am just coping that. Sorry have not got any more info than that.

Hi Liam,
Sorry, can't find your Trial. Have a read of this article on Geno 3 Rx options. It specifically mentions that non-nucleoside NS-5B inhibitors are pretty useless in Geno 3 ( and actually mentions ABT-333).
As we won't see Sovaldi, let alone the other new DAA's until 2015 at the earliest, it may be worth biting the bullet and trying 24 weeks of Peg/Riba. The SVR odds are 60-80%, which is not bad.
I have looked for that trial but can not find it, but you should check the drug name again as the 2nd generation Abbvie NS5A is called ABT-530
Abbvie typically will use three or four drugs in their therapy but some of the arms within the study may have less. It can be confusing the first time you hear the names and numbers so I would ask for some clarification on the possible arms that you could be randomized to.

Hi Liam, good to hear your news. I haven`t found anything about this on the clinical trials website so it probably hasn`t been listed yet. Good to know that Abbvie are including genotype 3`s anyway.
Best of luck! And do keep us posted when you have some more information.
