Thanks Malcolm, shot 8 is tomorrow and for the last week and a half I get really dizzy and lightheaded if I get up too quickly. I'm okay once I'm up for a few minutes.Just wanted to know from others what week they started feeling the severe fatigue, and I think Tig answered that. May have to postpone, hope not. Hit a small bucket today in the sun - no burn, yet....

Hi James,
I played golf until week 3 of my 48 weeks of Rx. After that, I was dizzy standing and didn't hit a ball for 15 months.
Go for it if you can, but give up if it's too much. There's plenty of time after SVR, and my Handicap is now down to 6. Cheers.

Tig--
Yep, that was my concern. I was mildly anemic at the 4 week mark, but I'm pretty sure it will be more so by week 10. I have felt myself becoming a little weaker and more winded as the shots add up. I noticed today I'm a little ghostly in appearance.
Jime, thank you for your reply. I'm not feeling that badly physically. But I never know what next week will bring as this is my first tx. Believe me, if I am able, I'll add the sunscreen and be teeing it up.

Hi James,
I think it's not a matter of could you, but can you. It was at the 8-12 week mark that I noticed the anemia related fatigue set in. I had ability but the longevity disappeared. What once seemed easy became difficult and my ambition, as well as motivation suffered. I also noticed that my balance was compromised about this time too. So that may be a game breaker as well. If you feel you have the strength and your doctor gives you his/her blessing, then go for it. Just be conscious of your limitations and don't force yourself to do things your body can't (due to treatment). Good luck!

Sure you can. Go hit a few buckets between now and then. Wear a hat and put on sunscreen. Have a great time!

I have accepted an invitation to play golf around May 17. By that date I should be 10 darts into tx. I have hit a couple of small buckets of balls recently, but have been either covered, or somewhat in a shaded area. Hitting ball after ball made me a little dizzy and winded. Of course I'll have breaks in between on the course. Question is, if I use sunscreen , do you think I'll be okay? Has anyone done this. I feel I can do this, just not sure of how I'll feel in 2 weeks.
Thanks,
jimbob
