Again, thanks to all for all your kind words of encouragement, support and congratulations. It is a reward not only to be free of HCV, but also to see so many striving for it in their own private ways, yet taking the time and giving the energy to others to accomplish the same goal.
Hey, my son is coming over today to work on shelves in my shed, my grandkids will be here playing and giving of their youthful enthusiasm for love and life, and it looks like a great sunny day out there!
Three working days 'till retirement (for the 2nd time), lots of hiking and traveling plans this summer, HCV-free and ready to go!
Love you guys.

Hi Bill,
That's excellent news buddy! You've been a friend and an inspiration to all of us. If anyone has earned this, it's you. How many years have you given to this fight? I believe an autobiography of your struggles to reach this point in your life would be a captivating and inspiring read. It may be another way you could reach out and help a completely new group of warriors. With your gift of the written word, I think it would be popular and helpful. Whatever you do, I know your future will be ripe with new adventure and an appreciation of what you have achieved. Like so many others here, I want to congratulate you and thank you for your never ending humor and wisdom. You really have made a positive difference in our lives and we salute you and your well earned Hep C free future!!! Good luck...

Just got the results for my 24-week PCR test today and it came back undetected, so I have attained SVR.
Looking back at the journey over almost 40 years I see how HCV affected me and those I love.
I have been fortunate to have had the support of my wife Lisa and the rest of my family and close friends. My work saved many days where I would otherwise have dwelt on the immediate discomfort of going through tx. I have been supported by the traditional medical people and alternative practitioners who helped heal me and make me more open to looking at the many ways of coming to terms with what was happening to body, mind and spirit.
I want to dedicate this SVR to all those who have yet to reach this milestone. Also to all you folks whose strength, kind words, positive thoughts and determination have helped me and our brothers and sisters who are on this journey. I also think of those - some dear friends - who have had their lives cut short from this disease.
You folks here have given hope and inspiration to the participants who are on this forum and by doing so, you have affected many more lives than you realize.
