Wisdom comes with age. I look forward to debating Insulin Resistance with you when you're 71-lol.
Ponder this as you go to sleep. Do DAA's kill our virus? Are viruses alive? Are they just a bit of DNA or RNA that has somehow escaped from the host call?
Are they just an organic compound, a non-living parasite? The word virus is derived from the Latin for poison.
Outside a host, a virus does nothing. In a host it can reproduce, but is this just a chemical reaction?
Sweet dreams.
Now I can't sleep ... Oh, bother.
Yes all those things and more are alive, The difference is Humanity is Blessed,And deemed Good by God, Those things are not. God is the Difference.

According to the CDC, HDV is a liver disease unrelated to Heps a, b and c. It can only occur in ppl with hep b as it needs the hep b virus to function. There is no vaccine but ppl not infected with hep b who have bern vaccinated for hep b will also be protected against the effects of hdv. Kind of confusing but that's what the cdc says. It goes on to say it is rare in the USA but anyone positive for hep b should also be tested for hdv.

Oh no, not another one! You've heard of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. This is like Invasion of the Hepatitis Viruses.
Btw, when I was diagnosed with HepC the antibodies for HepB were found also. Doc said I probably contracted them both at the same time through the same infected blood. Must have been that year I spent in the slammer while my bunk mate, Big Bertha, gave me jailhouse tattoos.
I'll have to read up on this one. Never heard of it. I wonder if there is a vaccine for this one like there is for HepA.
