I agree Josh, those are good numbers! The exceptions are the items we would expect to see but they aren't grossly abnormal aside from your Thyroid. Your A2/F2 status doesn't indicate any hepatic crisis, so the F3/4 staging some have required for the off label S/O treatment protocol, might get in the way of approval. But with those numbers and biopsy result, you've got time to wait for the next silver bullet if desired. The next line of drugs are sure to be show stoppers!

Hi Josh,
Pretty good set of numbers. I'd be asking my doctor about the TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone). Yours is low, so I'd want a full thyroid screen. This is a common issue with HCV.
Biopsy results seem good, with you labelled a A2, F2. Keep truckin'.

INCYTE Diagnostics Liver Needle Biopsy
Mild Chronic Active Hepatitis (grade 2/4)
Mild portal and periportal fibrosis, negative for significant bridging cirrhosis (stage 2/4)
Negative for significant steatosis
Negative for significant stainable Iron
Comment: The histologic features are consistent with the history of viral hepatitis C

Gross Description
two fragments of light tan tissue measuring 1.4x0.2x0.1 and 1.2x0.2x0.1 both fragments are submitted in the same cassette....
MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION half the crap written in this I need to look up .........a few words
An H&E section shows liver parenchyma with expanded portal tracts containing lumphocytes and a few plasma cells. There is mild portal
interface activity and focal clusters of lymphocytes within the hepatic parenchyma. The portal structures are preserved. containing essentially
unremarkable appearing bile ducts and vasculature. The hepatocytes within the haptic lobules show no evidence of hepatocyte destruction.
special stains are performed with appropriate postive and negative controls. A trichrome stain reveals portal and periportal fibrosis without
significant bridging fibrosis. An iron stain is negative for significant stainable iron. A PAS stain shows uniformly glycogenated hepatocytes. A
PAS with diastase stain is negative for Alpha-1 antitrypsin globules. A reticulin stain shows preserved hepatic lobular architecture. 10:17pm
