Hiya
Sounds like riba rash to me. I used gold bond on mine. Most important DON'T SCRATCH!!!!!
If you scratch it it will just get worse.
Good luck with your treatment :)

Hi Cathy,
I'd guess it's the ribavirin working its magic. Sounds identical to the problems I and many others have had. Hydrocortisone didn't cut it for me and I ended up using a prescribed .05% steroid ointment (Clobetasol Propianate) that did the trick. Didn't have to use it that often or in any great quantity, either. Kept my showers to a minimum and lukewarm at that. Tried not to scratch. It was pretty well resolved before the end of treatment in my case and no troubles since. Best of luck to you.

Hi. I am on week 6 of a 12 week Sivoldi/RIBA treatment. Side effects have, up until 2 weeks ago; been minimal...some irritability and short temper; and insomnia. 10mg Ambien along with 100mg of Benadryl and still get only 3 hours a night.
But, 2 weeks ago I developed a poison ivy rash on my shin, the back of my thigh and inside my left wrist. I have been battling it with all the homeopathic recommendations as well as some hydrocortisone cream. It continues to persistently itch but I think those 3 original spots are drying up. However, I now have a rash on my neck and chest. No poison ivy exposure that I can think of (can't even recall exposure from the first outbreaks really).
What do you think? Poison ivy or ribavirin rash?
The only exposure I might have had would be to my young cat that is outdoors in our woods every night. But she's been out since April and no problems until now?
