My hair has been falling out as well, especially in the front. I have resorted to buying headbands of every color to cover my new near baldness. However sometimes /I just say to heck with it. It is what it is and I am who I am. If I can't accept myself as I am, then what am I going to do as I age? For instance I didn't wear a headband yesterday, and as I was walking by a store window, I was tempted to look and I did. What I saw was a beautiful, strong woman that I loved. That was a blessing...a gift. I believe that when I am satisfied with myself...then others will be attracted to me as well. So until my hair grows back, if it grows back...I am who I am. I will not wear a wig....that is my choice, to love me no matter what circumstances surround me.

i hope your hairdresser is right and it works for you. You have been an inspiration to me and I just hope your tx works. And if your hair continues falling out, remember bald men are sexy.

When I started tx I had hair that was damaged from years of dyes and perms. i lost more hair than I was told to expect. I ended up shaving my head which is not easy for a woman to do. So glad I did it. My hair started growing back thicker and totally healthy. It's still pretty short but is growing out fast and it's all silvery white. I love my new look. It was depressing while it was falling out but once I took charge and shaved it I no longer felt depressed. You'll need to find what works for you. I only wash my hair once a week. I wet it every day to wash out the sweat from working out but shampoo only once a week. No smelly hair and my hair is super soft and healthy. Just something to consider.

been off treatment since july 17th. hair is still falling out at a rapid pace.. could this be from meds???? interferon?? it sure is a drag after every shower to see it all. I can't even really brush it. just put it up & weather the storm. I got some motivator for scalp from a hairdresser friend of mine that is supposed to help make it healthier. we will see. I only wash every other day. scares me!!! go for liver scan Tuesday. hopefully it has not changed. just been depressed I guess.
