Congratulations on your SVR 17.
I reached SVR 24 post S/O treatment just over two weeks ago and still can't quite believe it's real at times. I haven't seen any info on relapse after 12 wk EOT (SVR12) and hopefully never will.
Enjoy your new found health.

Hi Gary,
I have not read of anyone that relapsed after EOT+8 weeks on any of the new meds. So looks like you are SVR. Merck waited 6 months to declare me SVR, but most consider EOT+12 to be SVR.
Congratulations!!!

Hi Drexel,
Congratulations on your great news! The data for relapse rates just isn't available yet. But your odds are high from the information currently available. This protocol is so new, you are one of the individuals that is establishing the new success rates. Everything is looking good! Celebrate your Hep free future!

Congratulations on your SVR17. You probably have a much better chance of winning the lottery than relapsing.

Congratulations on SVR 17. SVR 12 would be reason enough. Your odds of relapse now are probably so low that you should not deprive yourself of a proper SVR 12 party. So break out the cake and lets throw down to the beat of your new HCV free life. Well done Gary!!!

It hasn't been around long enough to have long-term stats but the odds of being SVR at 24 weeks are extremely high if you are SVR at 12 weeks; so high that SVR12 has virtually replaced the SVR24 standard.
Studies with older tx drugs show SVR 24 relapses occur very infrequently--anywhere from 1%-5%--according to most studies. Note that stats can differ depending on the study, however.
The bottom line is that you are already considered SVR. Congrats!

I have not heard of anyone one on this forum that did the entire tx that was UND after tx....that that has relapsed. I'm pretty sure that is an accurate statement, i do believe there was a couple that did not achieve UND but that is not the question the way I understand it.
So that said if you are finished with the S/O treatment and are UND you will most likely be SVR 12 weeks following tx.....I'd say you'd be in good shape and it's ok to buy the party favors in anticipation.
Yee haw for you !

17 weeks EOT on Sovaldi and Olysio virus is still Not Detected!!!!!!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I relapsed on Peg-interferon and rib after being clear for several weeks EOT in 2005.
Does anybody know what the stats are for relapsing on Sovaldi and Olysio after being clear 12 weeks EOT?
Congratulations on your SVR!!!!! Enjoy the new found life!
