Today is day 27. In the beginning a little stomach upset, slight headaches but nothing now. Almost immediately the pressure in my abdomen has subsided. Seem to be sleeping more deeply but still only about 5 hrs. More energy throughout the day.

I felt the same way about this "liver pressure" that was always there - I feel lighter! Sleeping well. getting up early.
So far so good.

Hi- Today is day 13 for Harvoni tx. For as long as I could remember, I have had a "sensation" in the area of my liver; not pain, but a physical awareness of it. After 48 hours on Harvoni, that sensation was gone, and has continued to be gone. I have had 1 or 2 dizzy spells, one upon getting up in the middle of the night. I sat up in bed and waited a minute or two for the room to stop spinning before standing. The following morning it also took an unusually long time to fully wake up; even after coffee and breakfast I felt groggy and kind of "out of it". I feel like I am sleeping more deeply and having more dreams lately as well. Perhaps my body is better able to rest with less of a need to fight the virus. In general, I feel good. I have been bike riding and do not notice any lack of energy or endurance when exercising, and certainly no lack of appetite. All in all, this has been a much different experience than interferon Ribavirin. Hopefully it will continue that way, and I will be free of this parasite that has been with me my entire adult life! Good luck to all!

Hi I'm about 1/2 way through 8 week Harvoni treatment. My BMI is high, and I am female. I seem to be having more side effects than other people- especially people who have undergone treatment before. I take my pill in the morning.
The first couple days I was excited and seemed to have lots of energy. By day 3 I noticed I get flushed and feverish about 2 hours after I take a pill. My side has ached more. I lost a lot of weight the first 2 weeks (8lbs). I also had leg cramps and some hair loss (that seems to have stopped), plus a couple skin ulcers. I was in a terrible mood for days. AT the end of 2 weeks, my VL dropped from over 300k to 30.
During the third week fatigue and brain fog settled in and my appetite came back. I'm in a much better mood, though. :) I continue to have night sweats and occasional chills/fevers throughout the day. I sleep more soundly, wake up groggy, and am more regular than I've been in years. So far the side effects are tolerable, but definitely present. I'll report my next test results next week.

OK are you a guy or girl?? It seems the women have more side effects from what I have noted so far... for me, I started 5 days ago, I could feel the "spaced out" feeling start 3 hours after I took it and it has continued.... hey but I am happy I am sleeping!! I had a some stomach pain one night and "evaculated" about 10 times with normal consistency... some headaches, I am worse in the morning and exercise helps me alot
Good luck, connie aka angelseven

Hi Steven, glad you're aboard. When I took the Sovaldi/Olysio, I could literally feel the virus being killed off the first night as I laid in bed. Didn't have that sensation with the Harvoni. I believe the Harvoni starts killing the virus and preventing replication from day one. This is very apparent and supported by significant viral load reductions for those being tested at 2 weeks. Perhaps other members will share their lab results. My first lab is at 4 weeks. I do have insomnia however at day 12 it may be getting a bit better. Also still have somewhat frequent headaches. You may not experience either, and hopefully won't. Good luck, and keep us posted on your experiences.

Hi Steven, I`m bringing your post up again so that someone with experience of Harvoni tx can reply to you.
From the comments so far you shouldn`t expect to have many side effects, and if you do they`re likely to be minimal. I`m sure you`ll find it a breeze compared to what you went through last time!
Best of luck, do keep us updated when you get started.
