Doni, I am praying for you to reach that sweet sound of SVR! I personally think we dwell on the bad thoughts at times, keep positive and things will be better! It takes time and practice!

I think sometimes we worry ourselves by thinking and worrying too much! Enjoy your family during the holidays and try not to think about the teeny tiny itsy bitsy possibility of relapsing. Wishing you the best.

Thanks a lot for your support dear friends! We celebrate both Christmas and New Year in UAE, so I am already into buying a tree for home and gifts for my loved ones! Last year I bought a real Christmas tree and its needles fell of a lot, which caused too much mess and whining of my wife, so this year I will go for an artificial one :)

Hi Doni:
Happy to hear you made it through tx! Your immune system is working overtime during tx so more likely than not you just caught a bug and couldn't shake it off quite as easily as you normally would. Keep in mind that the odds are in your favor so if you are going to make predictions you might as well predict SVR!
You have done all you can for now. Try to take your mind off it as much as you can and hope for the best. Time will go fast, especially with your little one, and getting back into your regular routines. I don't know if you will be celebrating Christmas in the UAE but if so that will keep you even busier.

I don't suppose you have relapsed. You've probably got a cold or you're just wiped out from the treatment and stress of all this HCV stuff.
I am just getting over one while on treatment, and it kicked my butt like no cold has ever kicked it before. So you're probably fine, but on the very slight chance you did relapse, I am pretty confident there is a treatment out there that will cure you. There is so much good stuff coming, and it's just going to get better and better.

Congratuations Doni! Sure your 18 days after EOT means something!! You probably have been that way longer than you think. These drugs sometimes work very quickly clearing the virus. Think positive and enjoy. Your body will take some time to recover.

Thanks a lot! Just received email from doc - UND! Next test is after 3 months now. But the problem with the test which I took is that it is not really 4 weeks EOT, it is 18 days EOT. So it doesn't really mean much does it?

Hi Doni,
Congratulations!!!! This is excellent news and I think even though you didn't quite make 4 weeks EOT, you were just 3 days short of 3 weeks and I've got a good feeling that you're going to remain undetectable and go on to SVR12. The period of waiting for SVR confirmation can prove to be long and draining if you spend too much time dwelling on it. So find things to occupy yourself, stay positive and hopeful and I believe your next report will confirm both undetected and SVR!!! WOOT!!!! Good job Doni! Good luck....

Hope not for you and just be calm and wait for results, mine was 48 weeks and did not clear virus until late in treatment and had so many side effects like yours that I thought I had not cleared, drove my self nuts, hope for the best focus on the positive and all will work out, these treatments and virus are hard on all aspects of our lives and others keep strong

I finished my triple 12 week therapy with Sovaldi. I have taken my last pills on November 6th and had an RNA PCR test on the 24th of November.
Awaiting for results. Doctor said I will take another PCR test 3 months later.
I have a feeling that I have relapsed as I started having chills and fever, and some itching came back.
I read that relapse occurs very fast and I believe that's what happening to me right now. Moreover I have 4 factors predicting relapse - genotype 1b, male, obese and fibroscan showed F3.
I am awaiting for my PCR test results which should come out in 1-2 days.
